www.signedpieces.com is a reputable source and they have a round Tiffany solitaire that is slightly over 2 carats for much lower than your price. Do check it out!

Tiffany takes in trade ins which I assume are polished and re-set into new rings, so even if you buy "new" how aren't you sure that someone else didn't own it. I find all of this a little silly but then I love estate and antique jewelry - Victorian, Edwardian, etc. - so if I was worried about such things I wouldn't be able to buy any. As for a new house, what if someone died on the land its built on? Remember that movie about houses set on a cemetary where the builder didn't bother to move the bodies? I think it was based on a true story.
