Aw, thanks! Pay no attention to the cat hair that apparently got stuck in a prong, please.

Officially, as in "how the GIA cert describes it," it's a square step cut. The branded cut is called the Royal Asscher, and I think sratsey posted pics of hers a few pages back.

Beauty! I love those prongs. My mom had them on her ring. I'm so paranoid about losing my diamond I'd have 12 prongs in plat on there if they made them. Ok not really but... scaredy

I am just getting caught up on this thread...your ring is STUNNING! It is so hard to photograph diamonds, but yours came out really well! The Tiffany six-prong setting is my favorite. I love the way it looks from the side!
