I love Pricescope! I did my homework, purchased a Hearts and Arrows viewer and picked out my ring. Their Diamond Tutorial is very helpful. I printed out the whole thing and read every page! Their Halloway Cut Advisor which estimates a round diamond's appeal based on its potential fire, scintillation, light return and spread. I think an AGS cert is the way to go, but GIA is a little bit cheaper and also good.
My ring is a round 1.65 in a Solstice setting with prong set .03 diamonds on the shank. |

I adore the simple Tiffany solitaire, but hubby saw a couple at dinner one night with the wider bands and he loved it, so we went more "blingy!" The center stone was hand picked, graded, certified and insured...and I recommend this for any investment quality stone. Fortunately I also have a pretty sharp eye. Bruce Weber (a very high-end jeweler in our area) took me under his wing and gave me a crash course in grading stones (and I got a professional eval, too). I love my rings, and people ask me about them all the time. I really love platinum, but hubby thought it was too close to "silver" and was bothered by all the faux rings set in silver, so we went with yellow gold. But it does scratch easily. I may have them reset eventually. |

ladies, u have gorgeous rings!!
mine is a humble 0.3 carat solitaire. 3 years back, we weren't as well off and it warmed my heart alot when my DH proposed with that ring. Subsequently after we got married, I bought more diamond rings but this sweet engagement ring has a special place in my heart. I guess what matters most is the love he puts in when he proposes to u |

My engagement ring is made of yellow gold, it has a white pearl at the centre and eight small diamonds on the sides. My husband gave it to me one year before our marriage! He bought it in an antique shop!

Mine is a Hearts & Arrows diamond with a 6 prong platinum head on a gold band. The solitaire is 1.79 ct. Cathedral setting. The band is 5 stones, .75 ct.
The center and large image is my ring - the 's and arrows pattern under magnification. The right is his heavy gold wedding band. It slopes on the sides and has ornate engraving and beaded detail-stunning ring. I looked at a million rings before I found "the one" for him. I love really unusual and unconventional things in general but for my ring I only ever wanted a 6 prong solitaire set up high like this. As simple as it is, I get a lot of compliments- this is quite a sparkly stone. I love yellow gold in wedding jewelry, platinum is too cool for me. |
