carlinha I would keep it simple. A solitare like yours should be appreciated for its beauty and shouldnt let micropave or anything else take away from it. it is gorgeous!!

The diamond eternity band will definitely add to the sparkle factor. Congrats again babe :)

glad you are keeping it as is - it's stunning and I think on such amazing stones a lot of busy-ness takes away from the impact of the stone!

Coming from someone who don't usually prefer solitaires, I think this emerald cut looks perfect in this setting. I can't picture it with any other kind of setting.

I love the split shank if you are not adding an eternity, but since you are I don't prefer teh 2 together.
I LOVE contrast and because an emerald is so low key - not glittery - I'd contrast it w/ a thin micro-pave setting/band.

CONGRATS!!

I agree with the others, the emerald looks great alone. 'If' you realllly wanted to change it, perhaps a simple pavé setting might work but Id leave it as is.

I agree about leaving the solitaire. Halo settings are big right now, puzzle-type rings that fit together were popular about 10-12 years ago, wide gold bands were big about two decades ago, colored side stones before that, etc. My point is that there will always be trends in jewelry, but a solitaire - especially with a gorgeous, simple, emerald cut - will ALWAYS be fashionable. Jazz it up with a different wedding band if you feel like it, but I'm a big fan of the solitaire setting for the main stone.

Stay the same, I prefer the clean simple setting. I think ECs and Asschers should stay in simple settings. If ANYTHING maybe side baguettes or something.

Mine was plain and I changed it to blinged out and I love it. People often ask me about the setting. I am very happy I changed it.

I say change it.

I like the simplistic elegance of a solitaire like you have now.
... and I know this wasn't really what you had in mind but I just love this setting for emerald cuts!!
