Does anyone have this necklace? I really need some help authenticating it. I know there's a subforum for authenticating, but no one really seems to look in there. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. But I really need help with it. Thanks.
The seller said she would also meet me at Tiffanys to authenticate. But I don't even know if the SA will take a look at it for that reason. A person selling a fake wouldn't meet me there now right? |

Can't help you with the authentication, however, according to this ebay review, Tiffany does not authenticate.
"Tiffany will NOT authenticate any jewelry. Don't let anyone tell you different. I contacted them by e-mail to ask when I received my items and was told they won't. Then yesterday I was at a Tiffany store and two different people in customer service confirmed this for me. I tried to have a "Tiffany item" cleaned and the man took it and wrote details of the necklace, but did not write "Tiffany" or "Elsa Peretti" on the slip (just that it was a 16" necklace). When I picked the item up from customer service after the cleaning, I spoke to a lady who said, "we cannot confirm or authenticate any items, even if you were asking about an item you JUST purchased in the store". (WOW!)" Good luck. http://reviews.ebay.com/Tiffany-amp-...00000003414201 |

Wow that's strange. I heard that Tiffany won't accept jewelry that isn't authenticate for cleaning services. So the review person is basically telling us they took her item for cleaning, but wouldn't tell her if it's real or not. If anyone has this and can compare the 2 necklaces. I hope that's good enough. |
