Hi ladies,
Okay, so I'm in the market for diamond studs and I read an older thread with some good advice. Now I was wondering if this is a good deal. I went on Bluenile.com and got a price for 1.20ct, G, SI2, "ideal cut" (which I read was one of the most important things for earrings), bezel setting, GIA Certified, for $2,370.00. I've ordered jewelry from Bluenile.com before and have had good experiences, but never any diamonds. Any other websites you guys would recommend with reasonable prices for diamond studs? Thanks!

personally I wouldn't pay over $1k. Even if the cut is excellent, and the color ig OK it's an SI2.
:) HTH!!! and I'd try to go to a wholesale jewelry store. Do they have a jewelry district around your area? In this economy, when a LOT of stores are closing down, you can probably get a STEAL for that same pair of studs. |

In my experience, Bluenile offers very good prices for diamond jewelry. If you build your own studs you can save some money, though. For well-cut diamonds the cost is going to be higher than $1,000. You could go down further in color (from G) to I or J and still get white/bright diamonds if you stay within the ideal cut category. I think $1800-2000 is a fair price for 1.20 cttw studs.

In my country, Norway. That would be a really good price for diamond studs of just 0.5 cttw. 1.20 cttw here, you would be lucky to get them for 4000$ (prices include 25 % vat). |
