I like the longer one. The diamonds have a better clarity grade and it sparkles so nicely.

The 18 carat is stunning, but you seem to be leaning towards the other necklace. Both are great choices, so you really can't go wrong. I'd go for the 18 carat, just because I like the length better than the 16" 10 carat.

I like BIG diamonds (my tennis bracelet is 14 Cts tw) and I 'd choose the 18 cts necklace, it's more beautiful, and I don't like the way the other necklace is set.

I definitely like the 18 carat best. You see the stones much better.
I think it is more elegant, the setting on the 10 carat is a bit boring in my opinion. BUT - the essential question is what you like best. Also how tall you are, your neckline - what will look best on you? If you are buying diamonds as an investment, you should definitely get diamonds with the highest clarity possible. I would not buy SI clarity diamonds as an investment, I would buy at least VS1. If you plan to sell some time in the future you would get a much better price then. |

Just based on that picture the top necklace doesn't seem to lie flat, and that would really bug me if I was wearing it, especially after spending a small fortune

I think you'll get more wear out of the 10 ct. IMHO. The larger could be used for really special occasions, but the smaller would be better for dinners out etc.

if you could i would get the 18 ct but in single stones. if that is not an option the 10 ct it is a better buy
plus those necklaces like the "bigger" one made to look like a riviera but are pavé emulating a riviere are not my taste |

I prefer the look of the 10 carat necklace. It's more elegant. Also, not at all impressed with tiny stones clustered to look bigger.

I didn't get before now that the 18 carat necklace isn't big stones, that it consists of only small small stones clustered together to look like big ones. (must have been a language barrier thing)
With that information at hand I think I might have gone for the 10 carat instead. Can you get a necklace like that with better clarity stones? |

The clarity on the 10 ct one should be fine - they should be eye clean and that is really all that matters.

I prefer the 10 ct. Individual diamonds have more value then clusters of diamonds to form the look of an individual diamond. I also think that the 18 ct doesn't have the elegance of the 10 ct. S1 clarity or even S2 is what I would get for small stones, you don't need anything more in smaller stones like a necklace or bracelet as you would want in a solitare as long as the color is good imo

either one will be nice !
However, diamonds set in invisible mounting would more likely fall out easier than the ones have prongs |
