Default Diamond Broker Recommendations?

Hi all!

We are planning to upgrade my E-ring, and will be in the US in a few months, so I'm wondering if someone can recommend me a diamond broker in NYC that we can visit (or have an online site or email addy) i can contact them on, so i can check what stuff they have before i arrive, as the specs of the rock i want is quite specific.

Also, I've looked on Blue nile, WF etc (as per pricescope), so are those similar to the prices if i buy from the brokers, or is it cheaper, as Australia is insanely expensive (as always)

Thanks heaps

JMO - many brokers don't want to work with someone who won't buy from them in the future. Many will only work with buyers who buy a certain carat/quality & up. You'll be at a disadvantage cause they don't know you & your future intents. If you know exactly what you want & stick to it, that's who they're looking for as customers.
You just missed the high end jewelry show in Vegas at the Mirage. It closes this AM. You might want to see if you can get ahold of a list of the vendors who were there by calling the Mirage. Many from NYC area & LA.

Thanks ladies!

I was at the Hong Kong convention this past March and i was like a fish out of water there!

I don't think i can get in again (as i went with my friend, who's relatives are jewellers) so i got a good deal on a 2ct + with high specs ... But i passed and now i regret it...

So any further help would be much appreciated

Good old Gold but they aren't a broker. Jonathan has THE BEST eye.
