I am thinking of getting myself a Cartier watch, and might decide between Tank SOLO LADIES Gold & Steel Watch or Tank Francaise Stainless Steel Watch.
So just want to hear what you ladies think about two of them? Thanks in advance & love you all... ![]() ![]() |

I think they're both great looking watches, but if I was choosing for myself, I'd go with the Francaise.

Both classic looks, the braclet will proably last longer and probably will go with more....depends on your taste.

I love them both, I agree with starbucksqueen, the tank francaise will go with more over all. I have the tank francaise I'm glad I chose that over the two tone.

I love them both but would go with the Tank Francais. I think the Tank Francais is more versitle while the Tank Solo is a bit more conservative. I love the Tank Solo with a business suit but the Tank Francais can go from very casual to dressy. But definitely try both on and even other styles too -- it can look a lot different on your wrist then in pics.

I have a Tank Americaine (which is kind of simialr to the Solo, although it's more rectangular) and I have a Tank Francaise.
The reason I have both is that they are so different. One is very sporty in an elegant way (the Tank Francaise) and the Americaine is more classic. I don't wear the Americaine in the summer, it gets too wet and sweaty under the leather wrist band. The Americaine is my winter watch and I wear the Francaise more in the summer, when I can sweat in it and get it wet without worry. I've always had a soft spot for the Solo because it is based on the true original Tank that everyone wanted so many years ago. |

Thanks Jayne1 and everyone else.
Another question is that for Solo Tank, will the 18K gold fade down the road? |

The gold will get scratched but should not fade. I have a Tank Solo that I inherited from a relative that is at least 30, if not 40, years old and it still looks great and shiny. You can also easily get a replacement strap down the road as the strap will show some wear and tear but cost is only $200-$300 for a new strap. Mine needs a new strap but I haven't gotten around to getting one yet.
