cartier love bracelet, new vs old closure

last time i visited the store, sa showed me the new love bracelet w/ diamond all over. surprisingly, they changed the closure as well so they don't need to be screwed on anymore. sad they are only doing this for the diamond versions. i just hope they could modify the closure on the orignal ones so it can be taken off so much easier w/o the screw diver.

That is very interesting. Has anyone else heard about the new closure? Do you think it might also be introduced on plain bangles - no diamonds? I would much prefer not having to use the screwdriver.

I am dying to find out more about the new closure! I will call Cartier store tomorrow. I wonder if they might reduce prices on original types. How much is the new bracelet with diamonds all around?

^ seriously doubt Cartier will reduce prices, this only apply to the diamond version, which btw I have not seen yet

OK - I called Cartier. The regular hinge type closure is on the pave bracelet. It costs over $33,000. It is newer but not brand new. They are going to have some type of Centennial promotion involving charities but they won't have info on it until early March - which is next week!

I have only seen Cartier increase prices. It would be great if they have a price reduction, especially with this bad economy.

Thats not ever going to happen. It would be devastating to the perception of the brand as a whole. Even if they lose revenue they will probably just close a store or two and cut down on inventory.
