Default Can you help me find similar snake earrings?
I really love these earring by Gara Danielle, but I feel they are overpriced at $196 from ShopBop because they are just gold-filled. Am I being silly? Does anyone have a comparable suggestion for less -- or real gold for the same price?

This is not exactly what you are looking for, but I saw this necklace on a website on a tPF'ers signature- Japster.

She makes her own things, so I wonder if she could take the charm base and make it into a stud for the ear... The snake is similar and also comes in yellow gold.

Here's some other options, but not as close:

Also, Zappos has the same earrings for a bit less than you found, but you are still dealing w/ gold plated...

These are a copy of the CC Skye ones and are really cheap, but if you have sensitive ears they might irritate them. Plus, they are just costume earrings, which is not what I gather you want.

HTH!

They are, aren't they? I'm weakening. Elizat found some good options, though . . .

Those are really, really cute. I want a pair! From personal experience with gold filled jewelry it's just a risk you take, these could look good for years and years or they could dull out quickly. It really depends on how well they are made. You can always have them re-dipped and that is not expensive. Depending on how much they weigh, they shouldn't be more than 5 grams total, you should be able to find them for about the same price, maybe a little more, in 14k.

I didn't see any snake earrings (looked through all pages of earrings), but was amused by the links to their "Piffany" and "Nurman" collections.
