Default calling ALL round diamond experts!!
is there much of a difference between a .80 round and a .90 round?
i'm currently on the market for diamond studs and aside from price i can't tell if i'll regret the 1.60 ctw oppose to the 1.81 ctw. to me it seems like it would be a minor difference in size, but i'm no expert.

i'm thinking of purchasing on-line so i have not seen the two sizes side by side to compare. if there's not much of a difference (or i won't regret the smaller size ), i'd rather get the smaller ones and save the rest of my money.
these measurements mean nothing to me but perhaps some of you have more of an expert opinion?! the mms look too close to matter but what do i know... thanks!

1.60 ctw mms: 5.89 x 5.87 x 3.72 mm 5.99 x 5.96 x 3.63 mm

1.81 ctw mms: 6.14 x 6.10 x 3.81 mm 6.19 x 6.15 x 3.83 mm

That is a very minor difference in size. I would go for the smaller pair and save the rest of your money for something else!!!

I CAN tell the difference, especially if they are side by side. However, I don't think it will make that much of a difference on your ear.

I've just been trying on diamond solitaires so I do have some experience staring at .10 differences! LOL. Honestly I'd save your money and get the smaller ones. It's not a huge difference on your ears and I think I could have been tricked into thinking a 1.26 was a 1.16, for example, if they weren't both right beside one another. You'll get awesome sparkle out of the .80's and they'll be gorgeous!!

I don't know if it helps but here's a pic of someone's .78 and .79 solitaires (for a visual)... (told you I've been doing a lot of research!)

Agreed that the difference is very minor. I was having the same dilemma, so I went in between and got 1.75ctw (one is .89 and one is .88) Be sure to come back and post pics :)

ohhhhhh missrocks can you tell me more?!? do you feel that that size is perfect for you? is it still a nocticeable size on your ears?

am also looking/hunting for 1.75...i think that's right in the middle and perfect, if not i'll get the 1.60.

Well, I felt as if I could've gone a lot bigger, because I have huge earlobes (or at least I feel like I do) but the pricepoint was right on these, since there was a bit of a price break for being under .90each and I still ended up getting a 6.15mm diameter which is what most .90's measure.
I ended up putting them in pave' halo's so my picture probably won't help, but I posted it anyways. Good luck!

I agree with everyone. a .10 difference is barely noticeable to the eye. Save your money for something else!
