i'm having a very casual evening summer wedding and need some help in choosing earrings. i'm not planning on wearing any other jewelry (other than my e-ring and wedding band). my dress is 3.1 phillip lim and is almost grecian inspired. i'm wearing jimmy choo silver metallic sandals. i want a long earring to play up on the grecian theme and would like to spend under $500. i'm interested in white gold or silver. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks!!

First of all, congrats on your wedding! The dress and shoes you have chosen are beautiful. As for the earrings, I have the first pair and have tried on the second. I should tell you, they are gorgeous in person and have great movement and sparkle. You will really like them, BUT, they are not long at all. The website pic is a little misleading, mine are less than 2 in. long, I would say. It seems like you want a longer earring than that. The longer ones in the Fringe collection are really nice and those were very long and dangly. They were more expensive, though. Good luck! |

I know you said white gold or silver, but there is some great high-end costume jewelry out there too. Even though your affair is casual, I think I would go with a little sparkle just becuase you are the bride!
Nordstrom.com ---> search for the brands Nadri and Crislu (sterling silver and platinum plated) Saks.com ---> search for Orsini |

Before I even saw what you posted as options, the Fringe earrings at T&Co were what popped into my head. I think they are great, I keep telling myself I should get the 2nd pair you posted. The faceted white gold is much sparklier than you can tell from the photo online, have you seen them in person? Go check them out, even though they aren't long, maybe it will be what you are looking for...

Looking at the photos, mine are actually a slightly different style which are not online. I liked the oval ones, but my BF didn't like that they were slightly asymmetrical. The ones with the fringe on the bottom looked too floppy for my taste, and there was another style with interlocking squares that were too angular for my taste. Mine are connected diamondy shapes. If you want, I can post a picture of me wearing them so you can get an idea of size- all the fringe earrings were roughly the same size.
