I bought a 7mm cable bracelet w/ amethyst on Wednesday. I wore it on Thursday but when I went to put it on today, I realized the amethyst is chipped on the part that presses against my arm!!!!!
I am so upset. I called my SA in town and she is wonderful. She was so apologetic and she said she will order another one from Yurman and exchange it. She told me to continue wearing and enjoying the bracelet & she will call me when the new one comes in and we can exchange it then. I thought that was so nice but I am still really upset :(

The amethyst on my Yurman ring chipped too. Luckily they replaced it after I put up a fuss. (It was purchased at Neiman Marcus.) I guess this type of stone is more delicate than others. Sorry it happened to you too!

Lorihmatthews: Have you had any issues with your amethyst since it was replaced? That is crazy! When I looked up the strength of amethyst, it has a strength rating of 7.5 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being a diamond), it is weird.
Adorable persian by the way!

One of the pearls on my cable bracelet was cracked when I received it. I brought it back to Neiman's without a problem.

I also had an issue with my pearl ring... the pearl began to turn gray in color. The store (a local jeweler that sells Yurman) replaced it immediately.

It seems like DY and the stores stand by the product!

sorry to hear about the chip... but at least DY stands by its products!
i have the blue topaz cable bracelt, and it not chipped... its about 3 yrs old and my other peices are all good too! i still love DY!

No, thankfully there have been no more issues with the ring or the replaced stone. I can't remember how I chipped it -- I must have hit it against something, like an edge of a wall or table. This hasn't turned me away from DY products, I really love them.

yeah i had a special ordered made champagne citrine 20mm enhancer the first one came but it was Chipped too!!! and my SA wouldnt let me see it hahah she called me told me about it and complained to DY right away didnt want me to see cause she wanted me to see it flawless and beautiful not chipped but that made me wonder about the quality of gemstones DY uses =S
even the 2nd one had like dots it was not perfect but if its natural stone it cant be perfect
