Hi TPFers,
I have been posting in another thread how much I love VCA and have been trying to decide what to get as a first piece. This purchase is important as it will help mark my upcoming 10th anniversary.

I have been going round & round trying to decide between Alhambra single motif (in GMOP/WG or WG/Pave) OR the Papillion pendant (in WG/GMOP). This is a big decision for me as I want something I can wear a lot; it would be my signature piece.

Then today I make the great big mistake of walking into Boucheron for the first time ever...OMG. Love, love, love! Now I have really confused myself because I love the Herisson pendant (so cute) and the Ava (in either aquamarine, blue sapphires, diamonds and tsavortites (sp?) or all diamonds). I know what you are thinking; so very different, but I love them anyway. The Herisson is whimsical, but is a sweat nod to the animals that Boucheron is know for. Plus I love rose gold and have nothing like it. And the Ava is so classic.

Help -- please...I know nice problem to have -- too many choices.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

If it were me, I would go for VCA, but I am not you, it is important that you go for what YOU love and will be over the moon having now and 5/10/20 years down the line. Have fun deciding, its a nice place to be.

Tough, but fun, problem to have. To me VCA is more understated and classic and Boucheron is more unique and dramatic. I love the Boucheron Quatre ring that has been posted in this forum. I'm no help, but can't wait to see which you pick!!

I would have gone for Ava with colored stones, but that's just my personal preference.

Uh-oh... that's a tough one!

I love, love, LOVE the herisson pendant... I have never seen anything like it. If it were me, I would probably go with that. Second choice Van Cleef. The ava isn't as unique as the other two, and for the money, you could probably find something very similar without the designer label... unless the name means something to you.

I think it depends on your style...The VCA Papillon is very pretty and dainty piece that I think you will wear a lot
If I were to choose from Boucheron between the Ava and the Herisson, I would go for the Ava because I see it as a timeless piece
I love VCA and have bought several pieces from different lines like Alhambra, Frivole and Rose de noel, I chose classic pieces that I will enjoy wearing for many years..
As for Boucheron, I have bought the big serpant pendant which is their symbol/trade mark
I know the decision is very hard but listen to your heart and take your time...go to try the pieces on again

Do you have any pics of the Boucheron pieces? I don't know that line but would love to see some!

And of course I'm huge into VCA right now so that's where my vote would go! :)
