Default Bankruptcy and jewellery.....
Hello All,
Just curious about Bankruptcy and jewellery.....

Obviously you would try and hide any assets you have......

WOULD YOU SURRENDER YOUR JEWELLERS, SOLID GOLD ROLEXES etc to the sheriff if you went bankrupt?

Has anyone here done that?

rofl @ what statement it would make to hide things in your ***

I am not sure about what it's like in other countries, but where I live it is neccessary for you to be honest about all your earnings and belongings when you go bankrupt - if you lie about things or hide anything it is considered a crime.

Frankly, before I would humiliate myself by filing bankruptcy and cheating people of their money, I would cash in my "statement" jeweLLry and try to work things out. ( A sheriff comes to your house?
really!?)
Seriously... these questions get more and more bizarre. IMHO

Wait, so in your other thread you're sick of consumerism so you're thinking about donating most of your jewelry to charity. But, in this thread you're wondering what to do in the case of bankruptcy? I'm not sure which scenario is the case (too rich? too poor?), if it's the latter, maybe sell all the jewelry you want to get rid of in a bid to avoid bankruptcy???

They will search your home, go through all your accounts and take your cars my dear. Believe you me, the banks and the government are no one to mess around with. Just hand it over

Pmptrading, honey....I know junior high is hard, but seriously....you should try applying yourself to your homework, rather than playing make-believe on the computer.

You're going to surrender your jeweller to the courts because you're declaring bankruptcy? Isn't that harsh punishment just for selling a man with unlimited funds a trinket?
