I loved that ring the moment I saw it. Although I wanted it with the citrine stone (I love orangey, burnt-looking gem stones), or aquamarine stone (I remember there was a blue stone, but I may be wrong). Amethyst is my birth stone!

I didn't end up buying it. But oh my, it is beautiful. I'm tempted.

its lighter then yours about a medium purple to dark with flashes of blue and pink. it's such a coincidence that you post yours and i was drooling wishing for mine.

now we're ring twins
Sorry! I've been MIA for awhile - just got back online this week.
Congratulations on your gorgeous ring!!!!!!!! So glad they managed to get one in for you.

And you are right, I have been wearing mine constantly - I can't take it off. I get so many comments about it too lol!

Oh, I have a sad story to share. One of my friends got this ring in the smokey quartz, and loved it... And she babied it soo much that she always took it off before washing her hands in the bathroom. But about a week after she got it, she left it in the bathroom one day and came back for it about 10 mins later but it was gone.

The thing is, its the bathroom at work and she knew the person who went in after her and tracked her down and asked her if she had seen it but that person said no! My friend was devastated.

That was like 6 months ago, but she finally saved up enough to buy another one, she loved it so. But she warned me NOT to ever take it off in a public bathroom. And I'm passing that advice down to you (because I was doing that at first too).

I remember reading some things about the amethyst stone before and i wish and hope for all those things which you have stated, and hopefully it doesn't neutralize too much negative energy against buying Tiffany .

i LOVE LOVE LOVE your new ring, and the box too! Box definitely reminds me of being proposed to in April...ahhhhhh
Haha thanks aquablueness for the lovely post! Ooh are you an engaged woman now? I had no idea! Congratulations!!!!! I must do a search for your ring as I'm sure you've posted it somewhere.

I'm looking at the amethyst stud earrings to match this ring. But unfortunately my tiffany addiction might have to wait as I'm saving up for my first Chanel bag this time (was side tracked by the amethyst ring)

They don't hold the rings for very long and I knew that that colour doesnt come around often so I had to just get it on the spot when it came in. :)
But I love it to death! I just keep staring into the purple stone sometimes when I'm on the bus - its just so mesmerizing!

I'm lucky, this is my birthstone...so I have several amethyst pieces. Is this an African amethyst? They are usually darker and quite beautiful! Congrats, your ring is stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Skyqueen! I'm not sure where this particular stone is from, my SA said that they source it from several places, including Africa so it might be possible that it is. :)

Oh no, thats too bad! It might be because of the price difference, my SA told me we get the special packaging for items over AUD$1000 and the ring was AUD$1350. It might be that you only get it for items over USD$1000. Sadly, we pay heaps more for our Tiffany's down under. :(

Thanks for the advice Baglicious! thats too bad about your friend I would be so pissed, especially knowing who had it. I would probably tackle her lol I'm very careful with mine I take it off when i'm at home sometimes but that's it. I figure if i wash my hands with it on its just going to make it sparklier anyways

I have no clue about the boxes Its not a big deal to me but its always nice having a ring box for your ring instead of just a square blue box..ohwell! btw i'm Canadian and the price of the ring here was 970 plus taxes so 1200ish. but its just weird because i've bough things around 700 and gotten a suede box...ohwell it just depends on the SA i guess!
