Thanks divadivine682, Dimple, surfergirljen, misstsips, Kitsunegrl, neverenoughbags, phoebe_0526, queennadine, tillie46, ahertz, AngelBABY84, bextasy, bhurry, peace43, sweet8684girl, Candice0985, amy.rachele, jaygurlygurl, butterfly36029, happy94 & Cornflower Blue! I'm overwhelmed by everyone's responses.

tillie46 - No, its not my birthstone, I wish it were though. I love Amethysts! Amethysts are the birthstone for the month of February.

Candice0985 - I hope they manage to get one in for you. I wore mine all day yesterday and just fell more deeply in love with it everytime I looked at it. I'm eying the silver cushion cut amethyst studs next but I'm hoping one pops up with that lovely dark colour that I like so that it will match my ring.

I've been doing some research on amethysts and its believed to be a stone of protection- said to protect its wearer against seduction, drunkenness and injury. Furthermore, it allegedly neutralises negative energy.

Sounds like a useful ring to have around!

haha I'm really clumsy so any protection against injury will be a plus for me. Furthermore, its quite apt that it protects against drunkenness, since its a cocktail ring.
You are absolutely right. Amethysts protect and are used for good health.
I'm lucky, this is my birthstone...so I have several amethyst pieces. Is this an African amethyst? They are usually darker and quite beautiful! Congrats, your ring is stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the pics! I've been dying to see what that ring looks like on someone's hand. I've been drooling over it since it first came out too. Congrats!

Hey, i'm glad you got your ring early! Yippe, i thought you were going to get it for x-mas..well, i guess you'll be getting yourself something (T&Co. -related) else then .

I remember reading some things about the amethyst stone before and i wish and hope for all those things which you have stated, and hopefully it doesn't neutralize too much negative energy against buying Tiffany .

i LOVE LOVE LOVE your new ring, and the box too! Box definitely reminds me of being proposed to in April...ahhhhhh
