Yeah, the two pouches is confusing, but both look authentic!? As for the earrings, I can't see the markings well enough in pic to tell.

Thanks once again. I got a reply from her a few actually as i sent a few sep questions-lol.

She said that the 1st pic of earings ontop of pouch she had used from another listing??? and the one of the back was hers and she took another and sent it to me.

Here it is- she mentioned the backs didn't come up well even with silver cleaner. I was wondering if they are actually fake backs? Now i'm confused and thinking the sale seems a bit all over the place- her communication is great and she is claiming they are authentic.

The earrings themselves are authentic. I can't say as for the backs without seeing them. Silver cleaner, depending on brand, might be corrosive (as can salt from the body), and therefore may have taken away some of the shine. A polishing cloth or baking soda paste cleaning followed by buffing should be fine for the backs, if original to the earrings and not badly corroded. Both pouches are authentic, but the earrings would not have come with that large felt one.

Default Need this ring authenticated.
I got this ring from my Grandma after she passed.
I can't be certain whether it's a ruby and diamond ring with a gold band.
It has some markings on the inside, but they're extremely hard to see.
There are two sets of markings.
One long one, with four small seperations.
Then there's another smaller one on the opposite side of the band with edges that seem triangular.
Something like <==> that, if you know what I mean.

Here's a picture of it.
Not a great one, because it's from my camera phone, but it should give you a rough idea of the setup of the gems.
Please help! It's driving me mad not knowing. :P

Hi there, even with good pics of the markings, all I could tell you is the gold content and perhaps brand/age, and what I think the stones could be. But from this pic, I can't tell you a thing. Your best bet would be to take it to a jeweler and have the stones tested, and they can also test the gold to see if it is solid or plated. It's not that expensive.

Can you ask seller for better close-up of hangtag? I need to see that to give opinion.

Default Identify this Tiffany pendant
This is not really an authentication request - but please take a look at this Tiffany's pendant (I already posted in another category, see here for my sad story: Return to Tiffany's pendant - HELP PLEASE!)

I got it from Tiffany - so it must be real, but I've never seen one that looks like this

Please help me identify this!!

I can probably explain a bit of what happened, after reading your story. The RTT heart pendants no longer come with a serial number on them. (how long ago did you get your original, and did you buy it straight from Tiffany? Many times ppl take the heart off of a keyring and put it on a chain). So once yours was basically over-buffed (it does happen, but they should have warned you if yours had a great deal of scratches) what they likely did was replace your pendant with a RTT heart off of a keyring, as those still have the serial numbers, and would be the closest to what you had. Also, those have the 925 on front, and are thinner than the pendants. And those serial numbers do not have the letter in front of them. Only a few items from the RTT line still have serial numbers, and fewer have the letters. I hope that helps, I do not believe it to be a fake.

Thanks - I got my old 34 inch heart chain straight from the Tiffany store only half a year ago. It had the MXXXXX number on it and 925 on the back and it was heavier as you said.
And the repair was also done by Tiffany themselves so they replaced with this really light keyring pendant. I dunno it feels really not as sturdy as my old pendant and the lettering is also not as clear.
But what ticks me off is that the SA didn't bother to explain this to my mother or me, because looking at their homepage the heart pendant still have serial numbers on them. Sad.

I see that you are in Germany, it may be they still offer it with numbers overseas? It is no longer available like that at Tiffany USA (check out the RTT line at Tiffany.com USA). Tiffany's does have items available in different markets globally that they don't offer in the US. But in the US, none of the RTT necklaces or pendants still have the numbers (other than the 925 marking). Another reason I tend to think it is a keychain heart is the pendants usually have a single link on them for the chain to go through, instead of just the opening at the top of the heart. I do agree they should have been clearer with you, but they probably figured you'd be so happy to get a brand new one, you wouldn't notice.
