I'm considering getting a Rolex on ebay. If I take it to a rolex dealer to get appraised would they tell me if its authentic?

Yikes, I usually will not bid on an auction with only one picture-especially since there are no pictures of any of the trademarks or anything, and it is not sold out in store or online so I dont know where they is getting that info.
The second one has all the right markings and such but I personally would want to see better picture.

Thanks! I requested more pics from the first one the other day and had to give her my email address so she can send them, then i'll post those. The other one - has a buy it now or best offer option - and i submitted a best offer ONLY if they can guarantee a full money back guarantee if item is found to be anything but authentic. thanks again for the fast response!

I'm no expert but at first glance those do not look real. No Tiffany hearts I have seen are shaped like that. I probably wouldn't want something that people would think was fake even if it was real anyway, they look like knockoffs, and could very well be.

ThANKS!
Hi, 1st one is impossible to tell from the one 'distant' photo, I would be sus though as if she can manage to email extra pics why not just add them in the first place?

Second one looks fake to me, the 'Tiffany & Co' looks to large a print and the heart is a funny shape, I'm also unhappy about the small links between the polo and the chain. Sorry, I wouldn't.

Thanks - there are 6 hrs left until the end of auction and i have yet to hear from seller if he has approved the offer or not, and maybe that is because the terms i added with the bid we're that if i were to find out it was not authentic he would have to agree to a money back guarantee. we'll see what he says.. in the mean time - for the last 2 days i have not been able to access tiffany.com to even do a side by side comparison myself.. plus wouldn't this necklace had come with those small pouches with the button on it to fit inside the box? thanks again!

I have a question.. so if someone wereto buy an item that claimed it was authentic and it wasn't and they paid w/ paypal would paypal cover it if you detested to them that you were sold a replica and eBay has a no replica tolerance policy? thanks!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=009

Well the auction ended and i refrained from buying lol - i have come to the conclusion that i will drive to the closest Tiffany and get a real one myself - no use in putting $200 towards an item that is used and could beat my brains out trying to think if it was real or not - when i could spend the extra 150+ to get the real deal brand new and put my mind at ease :) thanks all!

I found this bracelet in the parking lot of a grocery store in an upscale area. It's supposed to be a Tiffany. The pictures I took aren't that great, so I will describe it first.
The heart has a stamp that says tiffany & co. 925 at the top. It says tiffany and co on the toggle. There is an indentation on the inside of the toggle where the clasp goes.
The links look to be saudered (sp) together and not pinched. The silver is less white and shiny than fake ones I have seen
I read on an ebay guide that tiffany won't authenticate this if I take it down there and ask them. But the guide also said that you can tell if it's real silver by holding a lighter to it and seeing if it will warp the metal. if it doesn't, and just tarnishes and you can easily wipe it off, it's supposed to be real

After reading all those guides though, I'm still sort of confused
Can anyone help?
Here are some pics

I think your very wise, Paypal would find in your favour if the item was sold as authentic but turned out to be fake, but not only does this take quite a long time but my experience was that the seller had spent the money in the few days it took to receive the item and file a claim, so I only got about 30% back as that was all that was still in their account, never did get the rest, it's a lot of hassle and stress. Remember to post pics when you've got your lovely new necklace

From what I can see it looks ok, can you measure the length of it and have a look at the 'Tiffany & Co 925' stamp on the heart, is it perfect? If you could get a clear close up of the stamp we can probably clear this one up for you. This is mine, is the top line the same?
