Hello All,
A question that I hope does not sound too pretentious or stupid. I mainly wear an 18K Double Diamond President Rolex or my Cartier 18K mini diablo. I always have an LV bag as my bag statement. When wearing pearls I wear - Black Tahitian 11-12mm pearls - 16" strand with my 13.3mm (each ear) tahitian ear rings. The things that concerns me is my diamonds..... ARE THEY TOO SMALL? My e-ring is a 1.01ct VS, I wear .5ct each ear (when not wearing the pearls), my right hand ring is a 0.6ct VS and I also wear a 0.42ct VS on my left...... Considering the watches I wear and the LV ..... do you think these diamonds are too small? Thanks everyone for your answers. |

There is no rule that only a certain size diamonds go well with LV or the watches you have.
![]() I suggest using your own judgement- do you like your rings? the way they look on you? do you feel that with the watches bigger diamonds would be an overload or do you think they would compliment each other? can you afford bigger diamonds if you feel they would look better? The most important thing is that you feel you look good wearing your jewelry and bags. |

^ I agree. No hard and fast rule on anything, w/ the exception that I think jewelry should be in proportion to your body size generally, as in if you are a very large person, go for bolder pieces or if you are very, very petite, I think smaller looks best.

I know a couple of women who flash their very large e-rings....and drive carry walmart handbags and drive very plain, inexpensive vehicles.....I also know woman who could afford rediculously expensive jewelry but they don't...their money is spent on their multiple houses, investments etc. There is no rule.

Also, are you the wife or the husband. If you are the wife why dont you have a different posting name than your husband?
In answer to your question. I think no er or just a simple cartier love band or a beautiful eternity ring would match better with the amazing watch. A small average looking diamond can look at odds with a powerful watch statement. Whereas no diamond looks almost better, imo. But of course there are many factors like (1) how large is the hand (2) is the setting exquisite or `second hand` looking and (3) how does the person present as a whole. Because if you present well as a whole, there pretty much isnt any rules. And, the reason why I dont say to wear a huge diamond er with a massive statement watch, is that it can be too try hard, unless you have everything going to back this full on statement up. And even then, as has been mentioned, extreemly wealthy people do not usually go around `covered` with diamonds. Serious wealth is not just wearing some random jewellery, it is having the ability to go out and know you can buy anything at anytime. So sometimes when you know you can, you actually dont need to!!!! In my part of the world people know you are rich if you are. Jewellery is not needed to give out this info!!!! |

If they are special to you, it should not matter how "big" or "small" they are.

i know a woman who wears her original e-ring, probably 1/4 carat at most. they have their own jet with complete staff.
diamonds represent sentimental value, i would NEVER judge a person by the size of their diamond i would rather see a beautiful smaller stone, than a big browninsh rock with inclusions..or cloudiness |

I agree with the other posters... a small, high-quality stone is better than a boulder that looks like frozen spit.

I agree- that is not too small and if you love it that is what matters. If you are self consious about it and are really wanting it to seem bigger you could always reset it. It is amazing to me what a different setting can do to a diamond. I think the halo style setting make the center stone look much larger. I had a 1 carat diamond that I reset into a 3 stone ring (about .5 on each side) with also 6 more tiny diamonds on the sides of the 3 stones, and I think it did a world of difference for the center diamond.

I think you should buy a Hermes Birkin, preferably in crocodile. A LV bag doesn't make enough of a statement.
