Hi all,

I have seen so many threads about these beautiful Alhambra necklaces but I have not seen any neckshots.

I am thinking of buying the 10 motif MOP necklace before 01 May and would love to see some neckshots of this necklace. Would anyone please post a pic? TIA!

I just purchased the exact necklace but they had to have it shipped from another store so I'm picking it up on Fri! Trust me.......it's so beautiful on!!! BTW if you do decide to order it, call a NM store. I don't know if they still have the promotion but you get a gc for $150 w/your purchase.

Congrats! Pls post pics when you get the necklace. Which NM did you order from? Did you get the Yellow gold or White gold?

I got it from the Newport Beach location. I got the yg, I prefer the yg for the vintage alhambra. I'm getting it in 2 more days

I couldn't wait so I bought the 10 motif in white gold at the local VCA flagship store today. There will be a price increase of more than 9% on this piece from 01 May where I am.

I just got a confirmation that the 20 motif WG/YG MOP and Onyx will be $9600 (from $8400). Generally, the increase will be approx. 15% starting tomorrow. I decided to go ahead with the purchase today and figure I'll be saving $1200!!!

LOL! We ladies see it as a savings of $1200. The boys will see it as a waste of $8400!

BTW, my husband got me the 10 motif MOP necklace this past weekend and he thought that was overpriced for what it is. (Isn't MOP inexpensive? I have to google it, but I thought MOP is man made? Maybe not?)
I love the longer version but I'm busty and not sure that's a great length for me. So, they are going up 15% instead of 10%? Is it our dollar or are they going up in Paris too?

This is what I understand from the SA at VCA today:

Prices in Europe excluding taxes (taking into account tax claims for visitors) are the cheapest, followed by Asia (excluding Japan), followed by USA and finally Japan.

He said, assuming that the price in Europe is $1, then the price in Asia is $1.05 and the price in USA is $1.10. Apparently US will be hit with the highest increase. In Asia, the price increase on 01 May is between 5 to 10% but in the USA, it is at least 10%.

Aimee, yes, MOP, Onyx, Turquoise, Carnelian, Tiger Eye, Chalcedony (all the gemstones in the Alhambra range) are inexpensive gemstones. MOP is the material from the oyster shell, if I am not mistaken. And please go head to use it on your avatar. I am too lazy to set up my avatar!
