Are any of you familiar with Chamilia Charm Bracelets? I had one of the old style ones, that had the stops on it for the clips. I understand that they have changed them now, and that the bracelets do not have stops and the clips have rubber inserts so they can snap anywhere. Why did they change? When?
I recently sold on auction my old Chamilia bracelet with 4 clips, 2 from Chamilia, 2 from Pandora. Now my buyer is saying that these are fake because they do not have the rubber insert, and that the bracelet is fake because it has two "flat" areas. I bought them from an authorized Chamilia retailer! Of course I know that these are authentic, but everything I have looked at on line talks about the new style bracelets. It's as if the former style never existed. Can anyone give me information about the Chamilia change? |

Chamilia redesigned their bracelets to eliminate the stops you are referring to. The stops were too much like Pandora's raised areas for clips so due to a trademark, Chamilia changed their bracelet.
There was quite a bit going on between the two companies regarding early Chamilia's bracelets and their beads. Due to Pandora's trademark, Chamilia's bracelets and bead designs had to be changed. Some of Chamilia's early beads were almost identical to Pandora's. Early Chamilia bracelets like your's had the "clips". Later versions have the rubber stoppers. I use to sell Chamilia several years ago and am familiar with what you are describing. Hope this helps. |
