Does anyone have 2mm and 3mm bands they want to share pictures of? I have been looking at different styles and by the end I think I couldn't tell the difference between the sizes except by price! What do you think? Is it shopping blindness, but I would notice once I had it or can you really not tell? This will be an anniversary band and I am leaning towards 3mm just in case

I have owned both mm widths and yes there is absolutley a difference, I prefer the 2mm width. The wider one took away from my stone.

Before:
For Whoops! It's a star!

After:
*update* wedding band swap all done, pics pg 14

Thank you for the example Ame! I was looking at channel set, is it as noticeable between the two then do you think? Which size would you prefer to wear alone with a wedding band if taking away from your solitaire wasn't an issue? I was thinking to have as an alternative to wearing my solitaire some days...

Ame, do you know how many mm mine would be if it's a .8 tcw full eternity?

I don't know how many mm my band is but I ended up getting a smaller size because I preferred that look against my solitaire. More of an accent and less overpowering Keon?

I think it will be pretty noticeable in a channel set actually. I have considered trying to find a 2mm one if I can find one that will have enough fire for my liking. The fact is that there's a LOT more metal showing on a channel set than diamond at these widths, usually.

But I have worn my diamond band alone a few times and it's just noticeable enough for me.

I have the Tiffany 2mm and 3mm channel set bands which I wear as RHRs, I stack them together. If you just want to wear it alone, go for the 3mm. If you would like to wear it with an e-ring, go with the 2mm. I hope this helps.

those are three point stones? What size ring do you wear!? Id say closer to 2 than 3mm but that doesn't seem right.

Here are pics of my Tiffany semi-eternity 2mm and 3mm channel bands. Sorry these pics are not the greatest and the bands are too big as I wear them as RHRs.

First pic - e-ring with 2mm
Second pic - e-ring with 3mm
Third pic - both bands together
Fourth pic - both bands with the e-ring

I hope this helps.

There's no definitive answer to this, because it depends. It depends on the depth of the diamond, for example. If the diamond is cut too shallow, it would look larger than a dimond that is cut deeply, or even a perfectly cut stone.

I think your best bet would be to try them on YOUR hand & then decide which one you prefer

Thanks ladies, I shouldn't have hijacked the post. I'll just get a ruler out at some point!
