This is why I keep a pair of very comfortable clogs under my desk to reduce strain when my feet are hidden anyways, and only wear my heels to walk around the office. I also wear toe spacers in closed toe shoes and try to limit my heels to 3". Also only wear heels at work and always wear flats or sandals on my days off (I try to only wear heels 3 times a week max). I try to remember to stretch my tendons and calves by hanging my heels off the stairs. So far OK... I'm so scared of doing permanent damage!

Thanks, I have strict no “reality” TV policy but I’ll Google the show. Anyway, it is not quite the same – this guys are on a show and have to meet the numbers (ratings), while women do cause this to themselves just because and most are not even getting paid for it :)

I have to agree with MrsB. While there are some amazing queens who can put most women to shame when they strut their stuff in their heels, most men do not feel obliged to withstand pain in the name of fashion.

Gosh, I just finished my first year of med school and that x-ray is more horrifying than any of the X-rays I saw in the gross lab. Ouch!
