hate crocs and don't like the look of uggs but damn they are comfy!! Keep my feet warm without sweating. When I come home after a long day and put my feet in my uggs I'm relaxed in a minute

I don't have uggs, I live in a warm climate.

But, I'm reading all these posts about them being so comfy and warm, so I'm thinking about getting some for a winter vacation.

I have seen some pics of a pair without the sheepskin on the outside, but
they were tall with the top rolled down to expose some of the s.skin.

I looked at uggs online and didn't see these, are they old style?

wow without socks, that's interesting.

I have 5 different pairs. Various styles, heights - I even have the "flip flop" uggs. I LOVE THEM.... and I swear I wore my first pair for five months straight when I got them (I was in college so I walked the huge campus everyday in them) but I can't get enough. They are unbelievable comfortable, and I wear 3-4 inch heels every day, so they are a sigh of relief when I get home!

Plus they are great to wear to my dance class before I put my dancing shoes on!

ps) and no, you never wear socks!

I am not a fan of UGGs at all, there are plenty of other warm and fashionable shoes out there that not everyone and their grandmother wears. After a while they start to look really ratty and dirty, but to each his own.

I think Uggs are the ugliest thing in the world. But I'm contemplating a pair because my feet get cold easily and all my shoes make my feet hurt.

Uggs are so expensive and the sole is just the same as a flip flop! I bough a pair of suede boots which had a rubber sole instead at TK Maxx for only £25! I don't think people should be slaves to Ugg - there are plenty of other brands which are more well-made and cheaper.

I couldn't pull off the classic Ugg look, I'd resemble an eskimo. But I love their heeled shoes and boots online (I don't see them in physical shops). Crocs to me are even yuckier than Uggs you need broad fleshy feet to wear them right otherwise look like a clown!

Crocs are horrid, but I'm really into the Uggs just now and about to buy my first pair. I'm a size 7 UK, I think that's 9/9.5 US? Can someone recommend what size I should buy?

Get a 9 if that's the US conversion. 8 may be too small if you are a 9.5 US.

Well, as stated many times, they are INSANELY comfy!!! Ahhhhh!!

Also, Ugg makes some CUTE styles!! Have you seen the Classic Cardy?? I have them in black and oatmeal and they look so cute with skinny jeans tucked in, or darling with leggings!! The Cardys aren't bulky because the shaft on the boot isn't lined (but the shoe is so they're comfy too)! I love the Cardy because you can wear them with a skirt too (black Cardy with a corduroy mini is my fav).

Uggs aren't nearly as pricey in the states. Classic Talls are $160 which is 113 Euros. And the sole is an EVA which is made to be flexible and to be light. Uggs are VERY well made. I won't go into detail, but most people will agree with me on their fine craftsmanship.

I love them, always will. I LOVE it that people hate them and call them "unfashionable" because ALL "fashion" means it that enough people agree on it and CALL it "fashionable"!! So if the general consensus on Uggs is that they're high fashion, then they are. No two ways about it.
