Not at all:

Beat my story of the vilest sales tactics ever!

Let’s see what I can do with $12,500 required by the Bangkok boutique to get on the Birkin list (phone up to check with them whether I’m telling the truth if you want or you can ask the Thai lady who looks after the bags on Sloane Street, London):
1) I can get a 16-inch, 8-9mm black South Seas pearl necklace (I like white South Seas but it’s going to be more expensive) from Mikimoto or
2) I can get a Cartier So Pretty necklace and earrings combination or
3) Together with the price of the Birkin - assuming this to be $7,400 with variations, I can get a white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava (*hint* the Calatrava cross in my avatar) watch and so on…

In shoes terms (because this is a shoe sub forum), $12,500 will:
1) Fund my complete set of Louboutin Fiorellinos in 7 colours; ivory, black, yellow, green, red, brown, purple (with 2 blacks making that eight pairs) twice over or
2) I can have almost 3 bespoke John Lobb shoes (not the John Lobb that Hermès bought and has flashy website but the remaining family-owned shop which is better) for my fiancé or
3) There is this glassblower in Antwerp who sells glass slippers à la Cinderella with crystal decorations (may be precious stones but I don’t know). Well, I can get one of those, LOL!

In fact I hate Hermès so much that I have no intentions of opening this orange box that I received yesterday from a client as a Christmas gift (at this time of year!) for helping him with pecuniary matters but I think in the box is probably a 100% cashmere shawl – a 50-50 with silk would come in a smaller box, don’t know whether it’s printed though but I reckon (not that I care) it’s not because he’s a clever gentleman . Probably will put it on sale somewhere or something!

cutie blueberry let’s get back to the shoes, what’s the most you’d pay!

Bagsnob--what do you think of Tod's loafters? (the ones that are more structured with a leather bottom)
