Default Loose stitches on boots?
I was taking a closer look at the Frye Melissa Button boots I received this week and I noticed that one of the stitches running up the right boot is loose, kind of like something snagged it and pulled it up a little. Then on the left boot, there is a stitch that was jumped. Is it worth it to exchange the boots? Or is this normal? Thanks!

I am super anal about this kind of stuff, even though I know scuffs and other marks are bound to happen with wear. I wouldn't mind if I got them on sale but if I paid full price for them, especially for boots like these that are not cheap, I'd want them to be perfect. Can you order another pair and then send the defective ones back?

Thanks for your input. I want these boots to last for years and not fall apart at the seams! I think I might call Nordstrom and see if I can exchange them without any extra charges. I just wonder if this is normal for these boots and I'm being too picky!

Nordstrom will definitely exchange them for you without charging you. It's totally not normal for boots in that price range.

Thanks! I've never bought expensive shoes before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'll definitely give Nordstrom a call!

Just got off the phone with Nordstrom. What great customer service they have! A new pair of boots is on the way. Thanks for your help!

^ Yay! Hope this new pair is perfect, as they should be. Post modeling shots when you get them!

Good outcome! I was also going to jump in and say that although leather can have some small variations (the animals were alive, after all), the stitching should always be perfect--that's a quality control issue. If I notice anything wrong with a shoe's construction, back it goes. Hope the second pair are just right!

Thanks! I also just found the perfect pair of skinny jeans this weekend, so I'm all set for tucked-in jeans and boots look! I will post pics when the new pair arrives. How do I post a picture? I'm on a Mac if it makes a difference.
