Hey all,

I've looked through the threads here on TPF and haven't found a consensus on how Jil Sander shoes, specifically oxfords, tend to run. Some people say the heels are narrow and the flats run a size too big, or the toe box is tiny, etc etc

Is there anyone here who has a pair of oxfords? I am looking at two versions, one all leather and the other in canvas with leather panels. I am normally an 8.5 in American shoes (like Elizabeth and James, Frye) but a 39 in Italian shoes (Miu miu, Giuseppe Zanotti). Since Jil Sander used to be owned by Prada wouldn't the sizing be similar to Miu miu? TIA!!!

I LOVE Jil Sander!!!

I only own to pairs so I can't really tell you.

I own a pair of ankle boots. I will check what size they are but I think 37.

The other pair are sandals and they are a size 38. My feets are narrow.

I know this doesn't really help

Hi OP, I have a pair of Jil Sander oxfords (black calf leather) from AW2011. I wear US 8.5 and EU 39 (like you) and bought my true size of 39.
The shoes fit fine but do have a narrow toe box. The leather is very stiff and I've found them hard to break in. I had them stretched by a cobbler b/c my toes were getting pinched, but this has only helped a bit.
I don't think this is a sizing issue (i.e. not sure going up a size would help), but rather the design of the shoe. They are the most gorgeous shoes ever, but not the most comfortable! Hope this helps.

Wow thanks! It's always awesome to hear from someone who is the same size. :) I think I'll try the 39 then. Hopefully it works, I love the look of her shoes!

I have two pair of JS oxfords, one is 37.5 and another 37. All other JSs I have are in size 37, which is my normal size.

Since this thread has been resurrected (beautiful shoes Stephanie!), I have an update on my previous comment. I've finally broken in my oxfords and am happy to say that they are now quite comfortable; I walked over 4 miles in them on city pavement without any problems (I did put in a Pedag half sole insert which helped, but the toe pinching issue is gone.) I'm impressed with the quality as well as beauty of these shoes and didn't want to discourage anyone who is thinking of this brand.

Do you have a picture of your shoes?

I know have two more pair of shoes in my collection. I love Jil Sander and the best thing is there is an outlet just 3 hours away ;P
