Wow! Great shoes! All I would get would be a thank you. You sure have a good and SMART one there, but you allready know that!! Must be a really good soup as well. I have to ask, what kind of soup is it?? Hope it makes enough for lots of left overs!!

Oh, dear - reading this thread I died a few times over!!!

What a FANTASTIC collection! I really just started mine about 3 years ago but you just showed me a great future hahaha

I only wish my DH had such an understanding for my shoe passion as you BF - maybe I should have your BF meet my DH for a few pointers

Like you I love shopping all the NYC deals and I'll check out Anbar shoes soon - it's right by my work

Yeah, I am afraid hubby will never get it! He see my CL's and say;s "I bet you paid some crazy amount for those! I bet they were over $100!!" I am like yeah! Crazy me! I he only knew!!

CJY - that's so funny! My hubby is so the same. Although I must say I've noticed some progress - now when he asks how much my shoes were and my reply is "they were such a deal, I got them on sale" (which I usually do), he stops there! But he'll always notice my new purchases (and to think that some ladies complain on their SOs for not noticing, ehh)

GORGEOUS new Choos, fate! I love to see your updates. Actually, the gold ones look a bit like some Loeffler Randall's I have, although the JCs are even more fab. Orient is okay - planning to look after those necklaces soon - when I get a break from work - weekend work really is the norm here :(

Mich! Good to hear from you! My friends in Beijing and Shanghai all report the same -- no definite end to the workweek. So sorry! But you'll be back in NY before long. Have you hopped over to OnPedder? You can't come back here without having attended a warehouse sale! The goods are by far superior to our Barneys warehouse sale. Enjoy the rest of your stay there!

Hi Claudia! Yeah, you know us and cooking! LOL It's a Vietnamese recipe called "pho" (pronounced like "fuh") -- beef noodle soup. The soup base from scratch takes about 8 hours, more or less depending on your ingredients. It's kinda like meatloaf in that everyone has their own secret recipe and it's such a comfort food. I used to make just enough for about 3 or 4 servings but BF caught on and sneakily bought a GIANT pot to replace the one I was using -- now I make enough to feed a village.

Too funny!!!! My BF likes that "ignorance is bliss" state -- he'll NEVER ask and he would have never known the price of shoes if he had not accompanied me to the Louboutin boutique long ago. The Horatio boutique is kinda out of the way and the streets in that area are old cobblestone streets -- lovely! but terrible on stiletto-wearing me. So I drive there. More accurately, HE drives me there. teehee. And that was how that can of worms was opened. But he's been conditioned well over the years. Now he barely raises an eyebrow when he shops with me for shoes.

He does still get sticker shock from purses though. So when I get a new bag and he starts asking too many questions, I change the subject. Usually, "You are sooooooooooooooooooooo handsome!" does the trick.

Awwww, AJC, you're in my old 'hood! I lived in Tribeca for years. I know that area like the back of my hand, including all the deals and steals. Anbar's a good place to go, but it's hit or miss. But it's the thrill of the hunt! Report back on your visit!

Really? I can't imagine pointy-toed shoes looking bad on someone... My feet are wider than average (thanks, Dad!

) and the pointed toe makes them look a bit narrower.
