WoW!!! How do you decide which one to wear? Do you wear one pair more often as a go to shoe? Having a great closet where you can look at them must be a big help! Where do you like to shop the best???

Hi cjy! I wear alot of colors that are complemented by browns, so my go-to shoes are usually in that color family. The pair I'm wearing today (raffia Prives) is a go-to pair, as well as my calf-hair leopard print pigalles. They add not only color and interest but because of the unexpected materials, a bit of texture. I also wear nude patent VP's alot, but that's really because it's a no-brainer and foolproof when I'm running out the door and need a chic but polished shoe that goes with everything.
![]() Edited to say that my go-to shoes mentioned above are go-to because of their comfort as well -- can't leave that out! |

Realize I don't have a pic of my raffia Prives up on this thread, so snuck a pic under my desk here at work. Sorry about the camera phone pic, and sorry they're such a mess -- they really are a go-to shoe, so they've seen Manhattan a few times over.
(The black strips on the straps are footpetal strips -- they do a world of good in keeping the shoe on right.)

Fate, I just have to say how much I love your whole collection - beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And I admire someone who can really walk in such high heels. I'm good up to 3 or 3.5, but anything higher is reserved for taxis!

Mich, hop on the Prive bandwagon! They are a godsend in shoe design! Because of the platform, what is a 5 inch heel FEELS like it's 3.5 inches! Instant height, without the pain!
No Prives, Very Prives: no NYer's shoe closet is complete without at least a pair! Ahhhhh Manhattan's accessibility is great, isn't it? We've got cabs, buses, trains, pedicabs, all ready to relieve our weary legs. And it helps that anything you can possibly want is usually within walking distance. |

Yes that's true, but I can barely walk in my Matador's! I'll have to post my collection up soon, although my CL collection is NOWHERE near as wonderful as yours!

I LOVE the rafia shoes! Footpetals are the best little things! If you have never worn thier slippers you need to try them, very comfy!

LOL Kamilla! I've missed my shoe ladies since tPF was down! I don't think I have these up on this thread. Again, snuck a pic under the desk on my camera phone, so excuse the really bad photo quality! My pewter Hung-Ups. They're actually in pretty pristine condition, but the photo doesn't show that.
Love these for this weather! Wish, however, that they're a bit more comfy!

However, when I was younger and just building my shoe collection, I didn't take my more expensive designer shoes out quite as often. So for running around, I'd wear Coach, Haan, Nine West, BCBG, Aldo, Enzo, etc. |

Love the new shoe pic!! You have such an amazing collection. I have always loved the metallics, so happy they are back and have been a while. I was happy to see you liked BCGB, I like their flats, have not seen any heels I cared much for. I have bought a few pairs of Butter shoes by Cynthia Rowley lately, as they are not too bad, $200+ and are very well made. Plus, they ARE like Butter! Are you familiar with Terre Peck? Your bag collection must be tdf with a shoe closet like yours. Shoes and bags just bring women together. I have never understood anyone who does not adore shoes!! You are now my official shoe guru. Keep posting, this is a blast. How is the weather up there? Must be cold, starting to get cold here. Take care!
