I would still recommend trying on two different sizes for your boots before purchasing. And wear socks - not necessarily thick socks, but trouser type socks and not nylons.

I like them a lot. The stud detail on the harness is subtle but still funky. The plum is suprisingly versatile. I actually pre-orderd them from Frye b/c I wanted them so bad!

I have borderline big calves (most regular brands are very snug) and I find most Frye styles to be very accomodating

I think the campus crepe shearlings would be an awesome alternative to uggs for winter.

Also if you want a great deal on Frye boots check on Sundance Catalog here are the links.

The Roving Boots is actually the Heath Boot http://www.sundancecatalog.com/PRODU...ots/48576.html

Veronica Slouch

I forget the name of these frye boots but they are really cute

the slate color is awsome in the Slouch I had to send mine back it was too close in color to the dark brown. If I had the money I would have kept it .
I didn't realize Sundance carried Frye. Anthropologie does too. It's werid both compaines "rename" the products and don't list the maker. I don't understand that

I own three pairs. I liked the Frye Paige Tall Buckles so much in black I bought them in brown too. Both were purchased during the Nordstrom sale in winter.

I also have Villager Laces but I don't wear them very much. I think I got them for $50 on Piperlime.

I would love to see a picture of it. I saw in another thread and looked grey. I still have not received my VS in distressed black as of yet, two more days.

I don't suppose you have a modeling pic? That plum is gorgeous! What do you wear with these? Are they tall enough to wear over jeans?

Mmm... no pics, sorry. I actually just packed all my sweaters and boots away for summer. I definitely wear them over jeans- skinnies or regular. I also wear them (or any of my boots) with sweater dresses and tights, a denim skirt or leggings and a long top.

Thanks, jess. These boots caught my eye a few days ago before I saw your post. And your post nudged me over the edge. I just purchased them and hope I like them IRL! I think the plum can really add a little something to my semi-neutral wardrobe. Thanks!

Thanks, FFG! I can't wait for you to get your boots, either! Are the black ones coming? I can't wait to see those.
