Default Help! Toe poking out of Manolos
I'm having a bit of a fashion emergency and hope you ladies can help! I purchased Manolo Kavas during the madness that was the Barney's warehouse sale...tucked them away for warmer weather and finally was going to wear them out on a date tonight.

I discovered when putting them on and walking around this morning that they expose my pinky toes! Also apparently one pinky toe wants to stick out and say hi to the world...which looks a little freaky! I tried strapping him in with a band-aid but that didn't really work.

Any solutions? I'm thinking I need to block that opening from the inside, maybe with clear tape or something flesh colored...to keep him in?

Or I may just have to realize that like Debra Messing and her CL No barres I just don't have the feet for these Kavas!

Halah, I am so sorry! How awful to discover this when you are ready to wear the shoes. I don't have any solutions for you. I think this style and shape of Manolo might not be for you...

It really kind of funny I just never thought about THAT being the problem with any shoe! I'm so sure I tried on the right one at the warehouse sale and probably just checked the box and didn't even try on the left...learned a lesson!

One of my good friends has the same shoe in black...so she might be getting these from me as well considering she does not have the same issue!

I had the same problem with a pair of Kate Spade shoes........I was so bummed because I loved them. I couldn't find a solution, so I returned them. But I am guessing you probably can't return your Jimmy's back to Barney's?

I have the exact problem with a pair of Jimmy Choo's! They are a criss-crossed across the front and one toe keeps popping out. Don't know if there is a solution but I feel better that someone else has the same problem!

ask a cobbler to sew in a piece of clear plastic on the opening of both shoes

I'm not going to give up hope yet! I am going to take them by my cobbler and see what he thinks he can do! I always think I'm such a savvy shopper...obviously there is always more to learn. I'll have to be more careful with my sandal purchases!

That's a great idea! Has anyone tried this on their shoes?

I love the plastic idea!! For a quick fix the moleskin I bet would help too.

The plastic idea is genius! Hopefully that will work. If all else fails, and you and your friend wear the same shoe size, maybe you can have a shoe swap!

I was going to say vinyl, too.

Either that or you could just lop off the offending toe and never have to worry about it again!

Default Happy Ending!
So I took these babies into Hector's (my favorite Cobbler in NYC) and he worked his magic! Below is the result, I was so thrilled! He glued in a piece of silver leather that is hardly noticeable! They are comfy and have held up to a couple of nights out on the town already. So for anyone else that happens to run into a similar problem...there is hope!

That is so hilarious! I have the Manolo Ringo sandals (in 2 colors, b/c I love them so much) and they do the same thing. I might have to try this cobbler's idea. So glad you were able to get it fixed
