I think it depends on what kind of emu boots you get! Because the 'bronte' boot is not 100% sheepskin, and that one is a lot cheaper, but the 'stinger' boot is actually 100% sheepskin, and it's a lot more expensive than the bronte style, it's basically the same price as the ugg short.

I have one pair of Uggs (Cargo III) that I do love, but I just tried on the Emu Stinger short boot the other day and I was AMAZED at how they felt on my feet. I was looking with the intent on buying for my mom, but now I may just buy some for myself. They have arch support, and the wool lining seems very squishy like it may hold up a while.

When Ugg Australia boots were quality made and still being produced in Australia instead of China etc as they are today they were made by the best shearing boot company. The company who made Uggs back then was a company called Emu Australia.
When Ugg wanted Emu to open up factories in China a couple of years ago , Emu said no and they separated. Ugg went to get their boots produced in China and Emu maintained their traditional Australian roots and superior quality. Emu boots that are 100 percent sheep skin , I believe are much better quality than any Ugg boots made today. |

Very interesting! ^^^^ The ones I got for DD were merino wool not sheep skin. They feel a little rough (I am talking about the lining though). The lining of the uggs feels way softer and nicer.
The ones on Endless says "Country of origin: China" http://www.endless.com/EMU-Australia...ds=emu%20boots I bought a pair of Emu boots for my daughter this year. I wanted to save money and take advantage of the 30% cashback from endless. Uggs are way better, you get what you pay for. She loved them though, they seem comfy but the color is a little faded and they are not as soft as uggs. What pair did you get? ![]()

I called my Emu contact today and they told me that Decker wanted to use and use now sheepskin from mongolia that are mountain raised and are considered to have inferior wool. While emu still uses only Australian Merino which is the highest quality wool you can get ts while both companies now have some of their boots constructed in China .
