Default Can anyone recommend a good wide calf knee high boot?
It's hell to find a good looking, leather, knee high boot when you have muscular calves. I can't be the only one with this problem - can anyone recommend a great knee high leather boots that will accommodate a larger calf? Any suggestions are welcome....

Hmm have you tried Frye? I'm not sure if they're big enough, but if they're tight the leather does usually stretch. I've got 1 pair of boots that were really fitted when I bought them, and now they're super slouchy and have about a 1.5" gap between my calf and the boot. I'm pretty slim but not super skinny, and Frye boots are too big for me in the calf.

I think your best bet is one of these sites:

Thanks for the replies. Frye and Duo might be good options - but they are so pricey! Some of the Avenue boots are cute - but those Torrid ones.... Wow - they are so cheap and trashy looking. They're like the Pretty Woman plus-size line!

Yeah, I know. I'm waiting for some of the Duo stuff to go on sale, though I'm not sure when that will be.

Marina Rinaldi has exquisite leather boots in a range of calf measurements. I got a pair (with 18" calf circumference). I think my boots were around $800 originally. Got them for a great price on ebay. Definitely recommend. Try ebay--they come up now and then.

Eddie Bauer does some of their boots in a wider calf option. I ordered some because I also have muscular calves. They are great and super comfy. I think the circumference on mine are 16 1/2" and also have stretched a little from wearing them. Hope that helps.

I have these boots and I LOVE them. I got them in store and they had regular sized and wide calf sizes. My calfs measure about 16" and the wide calf would probably fit 18" easily. I bought the wide calf so I can wear my jeans inside and they still have room after that.
