Default Water Club:Quest for beautiful skin

Hey ladies! Some people have been requesting more information about my water intake plan. It's nothing fancy, but I though we should start a thread because it's getting a bit chaotic talking via PM.

Basically the point of drinking so much water everyday is to get: beautiful, flawless skin. That's the main priority, although water is great for a healthier body.

Since it's summer, we should drink more water- I drink about 10-12 eight oz. glasses of water a day now. You will have to pee a lot, but gradually your bladder gets used to it and the frequent bathroom trips will lessen.

I've been drinking this much water for more than 2 weeks now and my skin went from constantly having a few pimples and being somewhat bumpy in texture on the forehead ~ to being very smooth and acne free. My skin type is combination, I am a bit oily on the nose and forehead and I'm acne prone. I can say that the water is definitely working its magic. My parents are both doctors, I have checked with them- this much water will not kill you, as long as it is not all at once obviously. A rule of thumb may be a glass of 8 oz. water every hour, or something like that. It all depends on what works for you.

Why does the water work?
~By drinking more water, the toxins in your body will leave the body through your urine. If you drink less water, your body has to get rid of toxins in more ways than just urine. For example, toxins are constantly being excreted by your pores, causing pimples right? If you drink more water, you can flush out more of these toxins through urine, instead of the pores on your face. That creates an acne free you :)

Excuse the nerd talk, I swear it's all my parents fault. Hehe

I'll be updating frequently on how my skin is looking, feeling, etc.
Please feel free to join. Support, encouragement, advice, anything will be in this thread :)

The other girls who have joined already are: maddog, ellacoach, T0TEMAMA!, and lunatwinkle.

Frosty :)

I can't believe how many people don't drink water! If you live at my house, water is super important. It's a crime in our house!

I wish I could join! I guess I kinda am!

LOL but drinking this much water would make me go to the bathroom so much that I would be way behind schedule seeing patients every 10-15 mins.

Ahhh I need to drink more water and I know it, so maybe I will give it a shot. I do bring a water bottle everywhere I go, but I do not drink 12 glasses. I can barely get in 8, so I will try to do better. I don't drink soda unless it is diet and that is only occasionally. I really try to drink water as often as I can, but I can try harder.

And in case anyone is wondering, Frosty is right on about water helping rid your body of toxins and helping clear your skin. It also helps curb hunger and leads to weight loss because you become more full. Drinking a lot of water before meals helps you eat less.

So more water intake not only helps your skin, but also it helps your waistline!

Me too. If I don't drink water for an hour or two, my throat gets all dry and I get headaches.

I want to join! I drink 5 or 6 of those 500ml bottles a day.

I guess I am in this club by default, because I am a water fiend!!!!!! I already drink plenty of water, so I'd love to help encourage people to stay on the program!
The solution to any problem in the Army is: DRINK WATER. You have a cut on your leg? Drink water! You have a mosquito bite that itches? Drink water!

Great idea Frosty, it HAS been getting a little chaotic with all the PMs going around between us.

This is such a wonderful venture and I hope lots of ladies (and men maybe) join us. It's also very motivational knowing that others are doing this too.

I've been drinking 9-10 glasses of water everyday for the past week. I can see and feel a difference in my skin already. I also have combination skin (oily T-zone and dry cheeks area) and VERY acne prone. I lose one pimple, I get two more; it's an endless cycle I tell you! But now, my t-zone is much clearer and smoother, and the blackheads on my nose are gone.

I'll warn you, you'll pee like crazy. I make bathroom trips every 20 minutes and I'm not exaggerating. Luckily for me, I'm always either at home or at work where I sit in an office. So I'm always near a bathroom. I realize that everyone has a difference lifestyle, so do what is most convenient for you.

Glad to see we have a thread! It will be a great way to encourage each other. And yes, you pee constantly...I told the other gals that I don't even think I pee'd that much when I was pregnant! And you pee ALOT when you are pregnant!

Trust me, it's worth it to have to pee so much.

So many people waste their money on products that claim to give you beautiful skin. OKay, if those products DO in fact give you flawless skin--great! But will those products help you lose weight? Do they benefit your BODY? Probably not and water DOES.

I'm putting dermatologist on my list now. So far I only have MBA on my list of college majors. I'm such a nerd.

I am still like a fire hose! And other women come into the bathroom at work after I started, and I'm still going after they leave! It's crazy! Sorry for TMI!

As an intro for this thread, this is only Day 2 for me. I have combination/oily skin, acne prone with lots of crazy hormone problems. Two months ago my face blew up; it's mainly died down now but I have lots of marks left. I just have 3 pimples and a bunch of blackheads, and large pores on my cheek.

My goal is to be clear enough and have the marks fade enough that I don't need to wear make up. This water intake plan along with the aspirin mask are my main things right now.

I can't say yet the water's taken away the current acne, but I don't have extra ones and my skin feels softer compared to two days ago.
