maddog, the aspirin will help lots. I am using it religiously as well as the MAC volcanic ash. I probably already told you, in the PM lol. Your pores will be smaller in due time.

Results started showing up for me after about a week. My mom is the one who is checking every night about the current condition of my skin, she is very pleased with my results and ability to stick with the plan :)) off to pee again..

ooooh oooooooooh I'm in. Count me in!!

I need someone to help me with goals though. I suck at this so I need deadlines.

For Example: After work drink at least 16 oz of water. or whatever.

Candace I nominate you for this. Thank you very much

I would like to join! I know the recommended water intake is 6-8 glasses of water a day as replacement and perhaps a little more than that under certain conditions. If you go beyond that amount, and force yourself to drink more, is it really beneficial? Also, at what point does it become too much intake? I've been looking it up online but it's hard to find a clear answer. Here is an article:

Yay, Miss Tiss you're in! :) Haha love you

Deadlines are good, I set those for myself with EVERYTHING. Btw, I keep track of my water intake on my iphone since I'm always on it. I suggest everyone keep track somewhere. You could even update it in your signature, the thing underneath your username (what is that called again? too lazy to look), etc. It's just a good way to keep track and remind yourself that you need to drink more if it's at a low number.

But 16 oz? you can do better than that! hehe. How about gradually increasing? Maybe 16 oz. for this whole week, then next week bump it up to 24 oz. or something. However if you're at work for a long time, you can definitely fit more water in.

Also: don't drink too much water right before you go to bed. You will wake up to go to the bathroom, not fun.

There is a such thing as too much water, you're right, Kitten. A woman died during a "hold your pee for a Wii" stunt put on by a radio station. Too much causes an electrolite (sp? I dont feel like looking it up) imbalance and can cause death.

That's excessive amounts of water and we probably aren't in any danger of that. But we should be aware...just in case.

I've already cleared this with both of my parents. My mom is a derm. and my dad is a pathologist, if that helps reassure you at all.

Basically, if you drink too much water especially in a short amount of time it can flush out TOO many things, not just the bad toxins. Since it's summer, you need to drink more liquid anyway. Drinking water periodically through the day will not hurt you :) Um..if you have to "force" yourself to drink water, please stop. You should never have to force yourself to do anything. It is VERY hard to drink such amounts that will actually put your health in danger.

ETA: I hope I don't sound rude or something, hehe. Tiss, I read about that as well. That woman is seriously so desperate. Wii's aren't that much $$. Just wanted to add, yes the water can flush out too many electrolytes.

No tap water!
I drink water out of the fridge, the filter is changed all the time. It is quite expensive though I think. At least I remember my mom saying that.

I usually drink out of the Brita filter though. Those are very good, I recommend using that, because it's easy. You just fill it with tap water and it filters slowly so you can just pour it out with the pitcher. We don't use plastic water bottles because they aren't good for you (Reader's Digest article anyone?) and some of the water isn't filtered, blah blah blah. I use my Nalgene water bottle or refillable bottles that you can buy from sports stores, etc. You can save money and it's good for the environment.

I have to add, I am very active. I play varsity tennis and volleyball year round and I go running on a regular basis, so I naturally need to drink more water. The more active you are, more water you need.

This must be the only thread where we're cheering each other on for visiting the loo! I love it!!!

So count me in! I'm seriously a camel. My best bet is to drink bottled water because I find it very difficult to down it out of a glass/cup or anything else. Not even those reusable plastic bottles work for me. I know bottled water is not the most environmentally friendly option for water intake, but I really can't drink water otherwise. My plan is to join you guys and up my water intake as well as recycling habits .

I'm in! I've been drinking so much water at work, and I'm constantly having to go pee. Ever since my skin started acting up a few weeks ago, I've increased my water intake, and I have noticed a pretty big difference. My problem is that once the weekend comes I don't drink as much water, so I definitely need to start doing that. Great thread! :)
