Overall it's a great mascara. It gives me amazing length and good volume, virtually no clumping, and I have to say that I LOVE the brush.

Price: $27

Will purchase again: Probably not since I've only ever repurchased 1 mascara. I never finish anything!

Where to find it: Nordstrom, Sephora

and FYI i have like NO lashes to begin with
Thanks for posting this! I really need to get this mascara. Your lashes look amazing!

I agree, her lashes look almost false!

I love this mascara, as well
It is truly the best I've ever used, and I've worked in cosmetics for 6 years now. The brush curls and lifts. It also has treatment in it and I swear after a week I thought my natural lashes were longer and fuller! you have to get used to the brush. The design was after a j. galliano dress.

oh. you can only get it at nordies.

thanks so much scarlett and styleaddict! i actually had someone on my blog ask me if i was wearing false lashes in the photos which i thought was kinda funny

scarlett you definitely should try this it's really great, and if you have the original diorshow or one of the variations of it, it's also great layered with those, from what i've seen in photos!

styleaddict i bought this mascara solely because i fell in love with the brush after viewing close-ups of it! and of course now i love it

It's at Sephora too (thank goodness, 'cause there is no Nordstroms here!)

I think you can pretty much get it at any high-end makeup store. Our version of CVS in Germany even has it

Is there a special technique to get your lashes to curl/stay curled? My eyelashes go straight when I use this.

Product name/shade:
Artdeco Eyeshadow Base

Review: I have never tried an eyeshadow primer before, but after reading reviews on MakeupAlley I decided to give this one a try. I tried it this morning and it works great! It goes on nicely and dries quickly. I put on my eye makeup as normal and it has stayed on and stayed in place even after a few hours of wear. I normally have oily eye lids, but I haven't noticed anything so far! Normally my eyeshadow is gone by this time of day, but it's still there and still looking good I have to say the thing I like best though is the price. I was at the beauty store yesterday looking at the different brands and they were all so expensive!!

Price: 6.80€

Will purchase again: Absolutely!

Where to find it:
All stores that sell Artdeco products

Thanks for the response, Sternchen! We don't have Müller here in the north, but we have Douglas, of course.

BTW I use that Artdeco eyeshadow base as well! It works great! Eyeshadow stays in place perfectly with this and I also use to keep my kohl eyeliner in place.

My only problem with it is: it has a very thick consistency. Almost like butter straight from the frigde. It makes it hard to put on the lids without tugging too much, which makes me worry about wrinkles.

It will last me for quite a while though. There is a lot of product and a little goes a long way!

Thanks for the review of Diorshow Iconic mascara. I, too, am a mascara fanatic, so will be adding this to my list. I'm finishing up a tube of Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes!

Just to add to the chanel exceptionel mascara.. i just tried it the other day, IMO it just doesn't live up to all the hype. It lengthens and volumizes, but it does NOT hold my curl. I have to recurl it afterwards which is so annoying... I was pretty disappointed with it, which is a good thing I only had the sample!

Has anyone compared both dior iconic and the chanel exceptionel? that would be an interesting comparison.

I think I'll stick with dior show for now

Jen- Your lashes really do look AMAZING!!!

It looks like the CG LashBlast/ Avon Supershock wand, but with the super powers of Diorshow's formula. Does it have the rose scent? I have a love-hate relationship with Diorshow, because I love the way it looks, but I can't put scented stuff near my eyes (allergies). If they ever made traditional Diorshow in an unscented formula, I'd be all over it!

Product name/shade: Urban Decay Lipstick (New 2008 Dagger of Love packaging)

Review:
More emollient than the old style UD Lipsticks (those in bullet shell packaging) but a little drier than MAC, though it has better staying power. Colors on their UD website represent the colors of sticks, not when they are applied. When applied, most go sheer or semi-sheer, therefore actual colors are lighter than the online representation. Mild taste and scent of bitter licorice, nothing like what UD describes as caramel on their website, after all anise alcohol is one of their listed ingredients.

Packaging is eyecatching but unnecessarily bulky and heavy. About 1.5x the diameter of MAC and 3x the weight! Lipstick is about the same length and diameter as a regular lipstick like MAC.

Price: US$22

Will purchase again: If it were not for certain colors I like (Hotpants, Rush, and Vinyl) and can't find anywhere else, no.

Where to find it:
Sephora, Ulta, and anywhere else that sells Urban Decay.
