Day dreaming
I think you would look good with red hair, but it is soooo much maintenance. I tried it for three months (maybe less) and I just could not deal with the upkeep.

And I think your natural color is to die for!

Aw thank you! :) I'm definitely leaning towards not dying it now. More maintenance = more money, and I think I would miss my natural color. It's kind of like getting bangs (for me)-- seems like a fun idea at first, but then it just becomes a hassle trying to style and I end up wanting to grow them out again.

red is awesome! :) I say go for it! it's just hair...it'll grow back. you should try a semi-permanent red that will eventually wash out. I had a brown/red color that was gorgeoooous! in the sunlight it looked as red as emma stone.
to keep it red longer skip a few days (2-3 although a week is highly recommended) in between washing and just deep condition your hair every 1-2x/week. it's not good to wash your everyday. your hair needs to repair itself with the natural oils in your scalp and washing it everyday defeats the purpose.
red&black is the hardest color to get rid of. you literally have to wait for it to grow out or bleach it, which is very damaging.

I have my hair dyed a coppery gold(kg7) and after about 6 weeks it fades to a strawberry blond. But I'm gonna guess I have way more silver highlights than you.

I use a copper colored mousse from Sally's when it starts to fade, maybe you could try that or another temporary solution?
