I've got a cupboard full of OPI nail polishes... just wondering if they can be used in place of the Konad 'special' ones that are included in the kit. Will they work as well? I've only got blue, white and red coming with the Konad kit and was thinking of using other colours on my V-day mani.

I'd love to have me a cupboard full of OPI nail polishes, you lucky girl! I think only the gloopy ones can be used in place of the Konad 'special' ones. You just have to test out what works and what will result in a highly pigmented looking picture. But i think in demosthenes' post, they gave a nice link to a page full of colors/brands that work well. Also *jem* had some good ones posted too. What i've heard from some people is to just leave a bottle of cheap nail polish out to dry out until the texture become gloopy. Hope this helps :).

Thanks aquablueness. I'll have to test out the 'gloopiness' of my polishes.

You're welcome btw. Um, Viv has good advice too, don't use the frosted ones, those don't tend to work very well when creating an image. But, if you want to test and find out for yourself, by all means. |

Thanks. I think my matte full colour OPI polishes might do the trick but I'll test them out when the kit arrives.

Viv, did you do anything to your stamper before using it like others have mentioned? I was just wondering if I needed to do that or not first... TIA!
