Diet/Lifestyle/Drugs to alter body chemistry & hormone/sebum production?

So I have a very oily t-zone and eyelids, & maybe waterline. EVERYTHING there melts off, and I have tried every primer short of super glue, and over a dozen foundations. Even MUFE's waterproof eyeliner only lasts two or three hours.

However, apart from the oil, my skin is in great shape--a regular use of a clay mask & nutrient serum keeps my pores (relatively) clean and minimal. No wrinkles. I just like to use foundation to hide some broken capillaries & other redness near my nose...but it all melts off.

So I was wondering, can my hormonal/sebum production be tamed by diet or lifestyle (or pharmaceuticals)? I don't eat that badly, and kept a food diary for 2 weeks, looking to see if there was a correlation between my diet and oil slick (but there wasn't.)

Does anyone have two or three cents they can add?

Thank you.

Have you seen a dermatologist? They have so much knowledge about why your skin could be so oily. That's so strange to imagine someone could have such oily skin that no make up would stay on.

I can't think of any foods that would make someone have oily skin alone, but if you already work out and are in the healthy weight range, then seeing a doctor is the next best step in finding a solution.

I have oily skin too (t zone) and when I was on birth control it was so perfectly matte, it was amazing!!

I don't really know what causes my oily skin or what I can do about it, but I'm sure that hormones can have something to do with it if the pill made mine so much better.

If you find something out please post it!

Maybe go on a very low dose of accutane?

Do you use the oil blotting wipes? Could serve as a temporary solution.

I was on oral medication for acne--the active ingredient was the compound in the birth control pill--and while it eradicated my acne, I never noticed a difference in my oily nose!

I don't think I have oilier skin than others with oily skin--my mom also has a slick t-zone--but for some reasons, the products that work on her (and others) just don't seem to do anything on me.
