Maybe you should go to a dermatologist....it seems as though different products work for different people. A derm can help you find what's best for you!

Retinol "A" Prescriptive strength; needs a dermatologist to prescribe that!

Out of curiousity... where on yoru face do you get pimples.. I hear if you are more prone around the forehead and chin area that is becuase of stress and something internal. However if the acne occurs on teh cheeks it is most likely genetics....

so if you are one of those that get it around the chin and forehead and on occasion aroudn the temples.... try drinking this tea. its some sort of asian tea that I started drinking that is supposed to help you lose weight... but honestly ever since I started drinking it I dont ever break out anymore and its been four months.. its amazing!!! I get a few pimples here and there when I pms... but they are quite small and tend to go away after a few days.

I am a big fan of Retin A (the higher dosage, but I worked my way up). It is rather dry and I have to use a moisturiser in the day to counter the dryness.

I really didn't like Retin-A and I wanted it to work so bad. I was even consistent for a few months but it left my face raw and peeling and really horrible looking.

Right now I've been using Clean and Clear Acne Advantage spot treatment, Noxzema Daily Exfoliating Cleanser [not really exfoliating though], and Oil of Olay moisturizer.

And I definitely feel for you. I started getting pimples when I was in 5th grade. I want to try BC pills but I"m afraid of the side effects.

My best advice is go to a dermatologist, in the less then half year I've gone to her, I only have one or two zits, my scars are being worked on, and i just have great skin in general. Money well spent!

I had good luck with Retin-A and Tetracycline. The one that will definitely get rid of your zits is Accutane, but that can do a real number on your body and will dry your skin out like crazy.

Right now I don't use anything prescription strength. I wash my face everyday and use the Clinique 3 step system for Oily skin (Step 3) and also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub 2-3 times per week

My oily skin and constant breakouts in my late 30s was really a problem until I started doing Photofacials. I have had five in combination with chemical peels, and it has mellowed out my oily skin, but most importantly, the breakouts have stopped, and my last treatment was six months ago. You should check this out at your local med spa.

You could look at www.acne.org for advice. You will also find a treatment (called the 'regimen') using benzoyl peroxide. I personally have not used these products, but years ago I used Neutrogena's spot cream with benzoyl peroxide. I used to apply a very very thin layer of the Neutrogena spot cream over all the problem areas on my face not just dabbing a small dot of cream on a problem spot. I let my skin absorb the spot cream and then I applied an oil free moisturiser with an SPF on top.

My skin was really clear using Neutrogena's spot cream.

hi..i have acne problems when my period comes..so when i have acne, i go for Kiehl's. It's a pretty good brand, you can have a look into the store. Right now, i'm using it's Blue toner and Blue herbal spot treatment. i think the spot treatment works really really good, however, Blue toner might depends on your skin type, like mine is oily in T zone..dry in my check...so i only use Blue toner in T zone. and it's really good product, give a try if you pass the store, ask for samples..that's how i fall in love with Kiehel's. Good luck

i used to see a dermatologist for my severe acne, but found that most of the medicines and chemical peels dried my skin so much that it looked like tree bark and i was constantly peeling. right now i use the medication sparingly but i get monthly facials. my skin has never been better. good luck on finding a regimen!
