I saw an infommercial for these the other day, they look pretty neat! They're basically plastic "self gripping leave-in volumizing hair inserts" things that you put under your hair to poof up the top! I've been reading about them but couldn't find any reviews! If anyone has them, does it really work? Are they uncomfortable? Thanks!

I actually saw this on HSN and was going to buy it until I read some reviews that the 'bumpit' would not stay in place. But I love the idea, it would make things so much easier. If you decide to get it, let me know if it works out for you.

It's a really cool idea, but I don't think it would stay on my head, because my hair is soooo slippery
![]() Pursebuzz did a pouf tutorial where she made a little roll with her own hair and pinned it down, then smoothed the top hair over it. I keep meaning to try it, but I never have. It's sort of the same idea as the bumpit, just made of your own hair kwim? |

I've got these and they're great. Due to my big forehead I've got to keep the volume in the top half of my hair and the Bumpits are great for this. I tease the hair a little at the root then slide the piece into place, pull my hair over it and pin with 2 bobby pins and I'm done. Will post some before and after pics later today, once I've done my hair. It's 9am here in Oz at the moment and I look a mess!

Please excuse the freckles and under eye circles. I'm not a fan of cake-up.
![]() Here's me after using the medium size Bumpit then pinning my hair back in a bun. ![]() ![]() I love these things. They help minimize the look of my large forehead and anything that can do that gets a

Thanks imashopaholic!!! Your hair looks great and it's not at all obvious! It looks like natural volume! (Some of the girls on the bumpits website look a little conehead like or too beehivey, lol, so that was a concern!) Do you find the bumpits stay in place well? Are they comfortable?

I just ordered some of HSN. Can't wait to try them! I always do the poofy look with my comb and hair spray so I am hoping this will require less work and damage to my hair!

Hmmm.. interesting! My mom says she used empty toilet paper rolls (the little brown cartons) under her hair when she was young.
