Joe from Elle seems nice and allows young people to shine and gives them a chance to move ahead in the company.

I think The City is a true reflection of what goes on in the advertising/fashion and media industry. So many catty young women thinking they know everything at the age of 25. I'm not a fan of Olivia but I have to admit Erin has quite the attitude as well, when Olivia talks to her she has a sour look on her face all the time. I see insecurity in both of them and a need to feel superior. Reminds me of the Devil Wears Prada. Joe seems like a really nice guy though.

I think Whitney is a great person. Honest, open, generous...........and sadly an easy target for people who want to take advantage of her. I hope her fashion line does well!

Erin seemed to have this weird jealously, or some sort of chip on her shoulder right when meeting Olivia. But, I think I'm really going to like her. Not a fan of Olivia at all!

Roxy seems a bit shady to me.

I agree^

I don't think it's just OP with an attitude.

I think Erin is quite insecure or so it seems from the camera POV. Seems that she feels inadequate next to Olivia. How much could she really know at the age of 26? Unless she had been doing the job well past the 10 year mark. I'm sure she is capable since they put her in that position, but adjust the behaviour, your no Lisa Love!

Not a fan of Olivia. Her butt should have been canned for the way she talked to her boss. In what real world, would they have kept her on. I enjoy the show. I sure would not have argued with her and followed her out the door. I would have gone to the guy who hired her and let him know what happened and fire her.

I must say that the 'acting' in this show is a bit better than the Hills. Whitney is such a sweetheart and wow she has the best legs! I cI used to dislike Kelly but now I think she's really cool and care about the people that she works with. I can't stand Olivia. She's gorgeous but she's got a foot up her a$$. I'm sure MTV just makes her look like the villain but come on if anybody acted like in an office he/she would have been fired. Roxy is just shady.

Just watched the premiere. Don't like Roxy at all so far. And it's hard to believe she's supposed to be the same age as Whitney. She looks so much older.

Loving Kelly more & more. I like how she watches out for Whitney. Like a Mom or a fairy godmother.

The only one I like on the show is Whitney and Joe from Elle. haha You can't blame Erin for being annoyed with Olivia who acts like a diva but doesn't have to do the work to really prove herself..And Olivia has a knack for taking credit for other people's ideas like when Whitney styled a look for a mag and Olivia told everyone she did the styling. But I do like many of the outfits that Olivia wears which are ones I'd wear. LOL!

Im sooo loving the city. Erin is the worse kind of co worker a person can have, she puts Olivia to shame.

I think I will continue to watch the City just for Joe Zee..I remember seeing him in Stylista and he seemed nice and genuine.

and wow...Olivia needs to step her game up if she still wants to play the villain role in The City.

BTW...I think they should stuck with the old "friends"/cast..not too crazy about roxy or the new erin

I don't remember which season....but, the first episode Stephanie was on...Lauren & Brody were in a club (nothing new)...Stephanie went to where they were sitting & started yelling about Heidi being her sister???? Wasn't she w/someone named Roxy? I'm almost sure of it. Does anyone remember?

I do like the people who really work at Elle, they seem interesting.

Well, Joe is the boss, so in the real world, Erin would get that what her boss wants is to have Olivia there, and he wants that more than he wants these tasks and projects done in a particular way, or done at all, and what, if anything Olivia wants to do is fine with him.

So if Erin wanted to be there, too, she could either do the work herself or she could change her segment to fit whatever, if anything, Olivia decided she did want to do, and either way, let Olivia take the credit for it, because in that industry, people compete for the privilege of working there for free, just to be able to say they work there, or put on their resume that they did work there.

But if Erin is more concerned about her career, and things like developing and maintaining her relationship with morning show producers, and becoming known for doing things well, she might be better off working at a smaller, up-and-coming magazine or production company.

And from a different perspective, in the real world, if Joe wanted to be on a reality show so bad that he foisted an article like Olivia onto his publicity person, in order to keep the camera crew in his office, and get his own face time, while network morning shows who had been promo-ing a promised segment that featuring a variety of accessories ended up getting basically a few purses and not much else, and thus turned to Glamour or Seventeen the next time, then HIS boss might point out that Elle magazine is hardly in such dire need of publicity that they are reduced to lowering their standards in order to accommodate MTV's casting requirements.

Joe could find himself pitching a whole new reality show to MTV, about the hilarity that ensues when a middle-aged creative director is suddenly thrust out into the labor force, seeking a new employer with some creativity in need of directing...
