See I kind of think Kripke did have the angels demons thing kicking around since season 1. In the episode 'Faith,' the old blind faith healer tells Dean that God has something special planned for him. And you can kind of pick up on other things when you go back and rewatch the earlier seasons.
I think last night was one of the funniest episodes to date. I laughed so hard. Then it did get serious, but I kind of like the way the show can still hit ya upside the head like that. I wished you ladies were hear last night during the show. I was watching it and had an ah ha! moment. So I logged in to post about the trickster being god. I was just waiting for you ladies to be like 'duh, we so saw that coming like 10 minutes ago.' But then, he wasn't god, but his number one messenger. Pretty crazy. If you remember back to when we first met Cas, he told us that only 4 angels have ever seen god. I think Gabriel would've been one of them, since he is usually god's messenger. It's pretty interesting that Gabriel would've chosen to walk away from that. |

^^I believe he did too, but if he didn't and is just good at tying things together that's ok too. I'm loving the journey. Don't forget the epi (Season 2, I think - forgot the name) where Dean is compared to Michael.
You described it perfectly - It was a slap upside the head. Just like Mystery Spot which I loved. Still can't figure out why people hated that one. I agree. They brought the funny. I was really laughing hard. I think I missed some stuff. Sadly, Gabriel looks like a little punk. Are none of these Angels the fearless warriors we learned about in the Old Testament?? The ones who were so formidable that when they appeared to humans, those humans thought they were God?? Come on, Kripke!! Give me more kickass Cas! Remember this? Castiel: You know who we are and what we will do..... I wont say it again. Leave now or we lay you to waste. More of that, please and thank you. And give Gabe a pair of gonads and invite him to the party. ![]() I think more than anything (besides the boys NOT dying at the end) I want them to some more POWERFUL allies. Cas is a start. Need more. Plus, Bobby is all warbly after his paralysis (understandable), but he needs to get it together or he isn't going to be useful at all. This season makes me so nervous. I may need to go on anti-anxiety meds. I'm so not kidding about that. |

I guess I kind of figure the weirdness with the angels is the result of the fact that it seems like quite a few of them are having some doubts about what they are doing. I mean things have to be pretty bad if God's number one dude has decided to skip out and play.
Miss Tiss, I know you have the dvds. Have you watched the special features for season 4? The whole heaven, hell, purgatory one is pretty cool. It breaks down a lot of stuff that we have speculated about the show. I actually liked Uriel. He was pretty fierce, even if he did turn out to be bad. I hope they bring Anna back. She kicked some serious ass. I would definitely like to see Gabriel kick some demon butt. |

Oh and did I see Sarah Michelle Gellar in the preview for next week?
I'm sure she's not playing Buffy but if she is, that might make my life if she teamed up with the boys for an episode to kick some supernatural butt. |

Thought this might be an interesting read
http://www.tv.com/supernatural-skill...ory/19365.html Supernatural is the best show on television that nobody watches—and a after a string of merely "good" episodes (by Supernatural standards, and that's a compliment), the show offered up another epic tale last night. The daring drama has never been afraid to slyly refer its own place in pop culture, but "Changing Channels" went a step further by taking aim at the show's competish. Grey's Anatomy and CSI, which both air opposite Supernatural in the ultra-competitive 9pm Thursday time slot, were both lampooned by The Winchesters with brilliant results. For those who didn't get to watch last night, here's the premise of the episode: Sam and Dean were thrown into a television world where they were the stars of various TV shows—shows that were eerily similar to the shows on TV today. The faux show Dr. Sexy, MD was set at Seattle Mercy Hospital and featured hot doctors who couldn't keep their hands off each other, a ghost that only existed in the mind of one of the doctors (nod and a wink to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who's appeared on both Grey's and Supernatural), Lilith Fair chick music, and tacky dialogue ("You're a brilliant coward!"). In a CSI: Miami send-up, the brothers Winchester repeatedly took off and re-donned their sunglasses and uttered zingers that even David Caruso would envy ("Well I say... jackpot"). But the highlight of the episode had to be the fake opening credits (video below), in which Sam and Dean ride tandem bikes and engage in other Bosom Buddies-ish activities, all to the tune of a kick-ass, classic sitcom theme song. In the end, we learned a big secret about The Trickster and thickened the plot on some future brother-on-brother brawlin'—and the way the whole thing unfolded seemed natural. Some might even say Super natural (*groan*). In less capable hands, the storyline would have been a mess. Am I wrong in saying that Supernatural is one of the most daring and entertaining shows on television? What other show could pull off this type of tomfoolery? Supernatural isn't just one of television's best serialized dramas, it has somehow also become one of TV's best comedies (though I would never call it a comedy), and that's a unique blend from which other shows could stand to learn a thing or two. |

Great article, thanks for posting that!
I always get a bit worried when I totally get into a program because it usually will get canceled after 2 or 3 seasons. I absolutely LOVED Veronica Mars, another awesome show that very few people watched until it got canceled. Brilliant dialogue that some people just can't absorb. Watching Supernatural gives me the same feeling, some over the top hilarious zingers along with the subtle. Almost damn perfect, I'd say. The cast has a huge part to make it work, in this case...obviously the chemistry is right on, the directors and production crew work flawlessly. I could go on and on, but you guys watch so you already know. I feel like we're in on this secret, but one I keep spilling the beans to people about. |

Yeah, it's definitely a funny show. I mean I laugh out loud every week watching this show. But I definitely wouldn't call it a comedy either.
I think I have converted three of my friends to watching it so far. All of them have said, 'Wow, that really is a cool show. I don't know why I wasn't watching it.' I guess it's because it is on the CW. But I couldn't see this show on any other network. |

Great article! I love Supernatural to pieces. Dare I say it, more than Buffy and Angel. That's saying something because I LOOOOOOVE those.
I watched again and I still love it. And I still think Gabe is a little punk. I hope, hope, hope, that the boys (notice we never call them "the guys"? Ha!) get another powerful friend, especially since they've reduced Cas to an I don't know what. So confused? Aklein, (Spoiler) I think that's Becky you saw. Supposedly she tricks the boys into going to a Supernatural Convention. Real ghosts show up and mayhem ensues. Sounds good to me. Do they classify this as "dramedy"? That's kinda what I'd call it. If I had to name it. I've only converted one to the Supernatural-side. But I'm still working on it. |

Thanks, Miss Tiss. I definitely read that spoiler. I know that she is going to be in this week's episode, but she looks nothing like Buffy. And I swear I have watched that clip like 6 times. And each time I see Buffy right around the :09 mark. Let me know what y'all think .... even if it's 'aklein, you are completley blind.'

Yep, I think that's Becky. How cool would it be if it was SMG as Buffy! The Ghostfacers would pee their pants. I know they won't be at the convention, but you know... One of my favorite non-Sam and Dean lines of the show is when one of the Ghostfacers (I think they were calling themselves Hellhounds then...?) said WWBD, What would Buffy do? I almost pee'd my pants. LOL! Do you think this one will tie into the mytharc at all? I think we get two more new shows, complete with a cliffhanger before the hiatus. Boo! I hope CW airs the two shows that my DVR didn't record so I can have everything up to date. |

And I forgot what Becky looked like. I just remember her looking super crazy and I thought she was blonde. I found a screenshot of Becky and it has to be her. Especially because the episode summary says she's back this week. |

Looks like Dean is getting married ... well Jensen is
http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/the_...mdb_topstories Jensen's Engaged! So Is Jackles in Trouble? Today 12:28 PM PST by Ted Casablanca It looks like Jackles may be over. The Supernatural costars—and super besties—Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki may need to redefine their relaysh now that Jensen is taking the next step with longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris. Jensen's rep confirms to E! News that the two are indeed engaged. So what does that mean for our favorite TV BFFs? Can they still find time to hang all the time, or will the missus be in the way? We have a feeling Jared and Jensen will find time to do their guy stuff, but surely not as much since Ackles will want to be a good, attentive hubby. Only problem: Where's the heat between Jensen and Danneel? From what we hear through the kissy grapevine, the newly engaged lovebirds have about as much passion as Vince Vaughn and his fiancée, Kyla Webber. In other words: No one's actually seen it in action. Maybe these folks are all private and stuff? Remember, soccer moms (who know everything, btw) told us how they thought Vince and Kyla didn't seem like a "couple couple"—totally heatless. We're hearing rumblings of the same for Jensen and Danneel. I mean, jeez, don't tell us Jensen's gonna just end up being another George Clooney who struts around these quasi beauties with all the aplomb of a dog trainer strutting his latest prize furry thing? Hey, maybe Hollywood's just made us cynical, and that's a good thing. A down-to-earth couple who can have a normal marriage, right? Lord knows there are just tons of those in Hollywood. More importantly, what do you all think of the latest engagement? |

Congrats for Jensen! Although, I always thought he's be cute with Kristin Kreuk. But she would be better with Tom Welling but he's been married for 9 yrs so that wouldn't work.
