Bravo was aware of this arrangement, but I am not sure at what point that happened. Jay Photoglou signed an Appearance Release (1, 2) when he was in Bass Lake with Gretchen for the 4th of July. I am guessing they knew by then....

I was shocked and kind of sad when I realized the "Jeff & Gretchen" storyline was just that, a storyline. But...as we continue to see, most of these girls aren't exactly what Bravo would have liked us to believe. A little editing here, some added drama there, it all makes for good entertainment and we tune in every week!

When Gretchen was "called out" on the reunion show about her relationship with Jay Photoglou, she denied it. Whatever. Then she called him a stalker, and announced he had touched her inappropriately while they were driving. Poor Gretchen. In the real reality, he had been and still was her boyfriend of 13 months, he was living with her at the time the reunion show was filmed. Giving her the benefit of doubt, you wonder if she had just been caught of guard and panicked.

To this day she continues to play the victim. Not only did she make those allegations on national television and deny she was in a relationship with Photoglou, she took it to the next level obtaining a Temporary Restraining Order against him. She claimed Jay threatened her life, threatened to burn down her house and kill her dogs. She said he grabbed her hair and yanked her head back, made harassing phone calls, and vandalized her home and car. She also said he threatened to "dispose of" Slade Smiley, her current boyfriend.

Pretty serious allegations in my opinion. Not only did she have nothing to back any of this up, she also failed to appear in court. Despite evidence of this, she insists the case was "dropped" the day prior. The case was dismissed. Jay Photoglou is now left with his character and integrity being questioned...by a woman he loved. He has spent tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees defending himself against the delusional reality that seems to exist in Gretchen's mind. There is another court date at the end of this month.

I hope this answers your question. There are others that this continues to affect as well, more about that may come in it's own time. I have a problem with someone that goes to this extent merely to benefit their "celebrity status" at the cost of others. Her true colors are starting to be seen for what they really are, let's hope her next "storyline" is redeeming herself.

Thanks for your wonderful explanation. Really makes one see how her constant lying really does hurt other people.
The sticking up for Gretchen is about projecting 'good' onto her cause she's attractive. Becoming more aware in life & get older, that'll change.

I don't think she has butt implants...that's just a rumour....For every good looking woman or god forbid truly beautiful woman you can think of, there's a ton of people people who will say "she ain't all that because it's all surgery anyway" .......

lol! But LOTS of times it is surgery, especially with the hollywood crowd. Unfortuately for them, there is documentation (photos) of what they looked like 'pre' surgery.

It was pretty obvious she was lying on the reunion show about Jay because of her body language and because she couldn't get her story straight about her relationship with him. No wonder Tamra was blowing a gasket.

True, there's *is* a lot of surgery in the hollywood set...but I've seen as many pic comparisons where people are *reeeeeeally*reaching trying to prove so-and-so had surgery ....when they clearly didn't....
