My doggie ran right up to tv and then ran under the couch when Kim started singing. I wanted to die! LOL At least she never claimed to be a great singer so I don't blame her for maximizing her opportunities.
She Ray was awfully quiet and looked uncomfortable. Was the dress too tight? Did she have gas? |

For those who are going "WTF?" not at the Housewives using the word "uppity," but at me, during the time of legal apartheid in the US, and for some time after that, the word "uppity" was commonly used by the majority ethno-demographic group in the Deep South to describe someone of non-European heritage who did not believe in the inherent superiority of white people. It was frequently heard as an adjective modifying the noun "n-word." Among people of non-Euro heritage, usage ranged from an indication of admiration of an individual's disagreement with the doctrine of white supremacy, to "ironic," or mocking its use by white people, - or sometimes even the same way white people used it! The latter would typically involve older people of color, who for reasons of internalized oppression, plain old fear, or both, were not comfortable with the increasing trend at that time for people of color not only to privately disagree with the white supremacy doctrine, but to openly express that disagreement. Fast forward nearly half a century, and what a dramatic difference between where we find "uppity" and the "n-word!" This was a surprise to me! I had not heard the word in years, decades! And about the last context I would have expected to hear it was being matter-of-factly employed by African-American ladies toward each other - in its original, ethnically-neutral and technically correct meaning of pretentious, snobbish, somebody thinking they are all that! By contrast, the "n-word" remains extremely controversial, even the recent efforts to "reclaim" it will invariably spark lively debate, with very strong opinions on both sides. Compare THAT to the word "bicth," which has been so successfully reclaimed it is now used on US network TV! And as you point out, the word "gay" has taken a completely different path, and one upon which I could hold forth for another 7000 words, but as a special gift to the internets, just this once, I won't! ![]() Just a mini (for me) word dump on the fascinating (to me) subject of the power of words!

I must be the only one that loved Kim's performance I think she danced adorably fun & bubbly and Nene looked so green w/envy she had daggers shooting out of her eyeballs! Nene wishes that she had the spotlight on her like Kim does at the moment! I think her performance is the hardest that she has ever had to work in her life during that 3 minute performance!!!Then Kim had to go and open her mouth and invite Nene to perform with her -I know she did it because she is generous but I think it is a huge mistake to ever let a snake like Nene that truly does not wish her well get in her spotlight! Nene accepted the challenge because she would love an opportunity to show Kim and the viewers that she can sing it better than Kim but to me the whole success of the song is based not on how well Kim sings but on how Naive & vulnerable she is when she performs-It made my night to see her joy! |

kandi looks too much like pebbles flinstone, imo. she really needs to tone down that "flame" of hers. why does kim insist on always wearing those hooker boots? especially posing with her daughter. yeah, maybe i'll wear those next time my daughter has a soccer game. ![]() |

wow, this reunion episode was not only a disappointment, but something was off with these women. not just that they refused to get "catty," but almost as if they were pissed about something. maybe pissed at andy? it was odd. i couldn't figure it out. there has to be something out there that's making these women so tight lipped. even dwight mentioned it. lol
but what angered me the most, were the rolling of the eyes, the nasty looks, throughout the entire episode, ESPECIALLY during kim's performance. come on, at least be the adult and support your friend. i love it when andy asks sheree what he thought of kim's performance/song, and she was like "i'm sorry, about what???" like she had no idea what he was asking her. idiot phony. the looks on nene's face were priceless during kim's performance—like there was some sort of stench in the air and she was holding it in. it annoyed me. as usual, this season disappointed me entirely, and the reunion epsidoes (which imo, were both a total waste) confirmed it. |

I haven't finished watching the entire part 2 of the reunion because it was recorderd along with RHOOC and I was anxious to start OC housewives.
What I did see was VERY boring. Dwight was semi entertaining, a least he had some life in him. The others seemed almost catatonic. Didn't watch Kim sing, not sure I will! Maybe they are mad at Bravo. Nene had said she was mad about some of the editing and one of the bravo staff in particular. Andy should have shaved it down to one hour. |

Even Andy seemed mild and contained-He usually confronts or pushes harder and he seemed to just accept the pat answers they all were giving!
