Hmmm...I don't think he had to be married to conceive a child! I am betting it was a child that was conceived at his senior prom!

I understand that!!! I watch y&r and GH where kids become adults in 3-7 years :)

I was responding to someone else who was talking about the question of how it could be 10 years after the original and if Michael had any kids in the original (which he did in the final episodes)

The first episode majorly sucked! I had no idea what was even going on 3/4 of the time. The characters and scenes weren't established well at alllll.

I had no idea Katie Cassidy starred in this before I watched it. I liked her in Harper's Island...which I think will be way better than Melrose Place.

I thought the guy who played the budding director could have been much better as Michael's kid. I am interested to see why Violet stole Sidney's pic.

Okay - so I rewatched the episode and am less confused now - I think what would have helped me is if they put dates on the flashbacks - I wasn't sure how close they were to present time and that confused me... I would have helped at the fade in if they had written things like, "3 hours earlier," "1 year ago" ... etc.

I was going to say you could probably tell Violet was somehow related to Sydney because she screamed after finding Sydney in the pool.

Then I thought, "well, what did you expect? If I saw a body floating face down in a pool, I'd be screamnig, too."

People came running out to see what Violet was screaming about and then they all waited around to talk to the police. The way Violet was looking at the pool shows she has some sort of familiarity to who was in there.

Ashlee Simpson should really stick to "singing" or maybe comedies!
Her "acting" bothers me. the rest of the cast is pretty decent though.

I still haven't warmed up to it 100% yet since there are so many storylines to follow, but it's getting easier.
Ella really reminds me of Amanda in the old version of Melrose.

I'm still undecided. Auggie brings the pretty, Katie Cassidy is good....just not sure I am ready to add this to the DVR list.
