Anyone see that Seinfeld episode where Jerry's girlfriend and her coworkers don't believe he doesn't watch Melrose Place? They want to hook him up to a polygraph machine.

His friends don't believe him, either. Turns out, he does watch it but he doesn't admit it.

Something like that is too stupid to confess now, so he'll go through the lie detector test, thinking he can beat it somehow.

Lou: What's your name?

Jerry: Jerry Seinfeld.

Lou: What is your address?

Jerry: 129 West 81st street.

Lou: Did Kimberly steal Jo's baby?

Jerry: I don't know.

Camera shot on the polygraph. The pen moves back and forth on the paper.

Lou: Did Billy sleep with Allison's best friend?

Jerry: I don't know.

Camera shot on the polygraph. The pen moves back and forth on the paper. Lou and Sergeant Tierney look at each other.

Lou: Did Jane's finance kidnap Sydney and take her to Las Vegas? And if so, did she enjoy it?

Jerry: I don't know.

Lou: Did Jane sleep with Michael again?

Jerry: (He hesitates) Yes! That stupid idiot. He left her for Kimberly, he slept with her sister. He tricked her into giving him half her business, and then she goes ahead and sleeps with him again. I mean she's crazy. How could she do something like that? Oh that Jane, she makes me so mad.

After the test, George, Jerry and Elaine are talking and then Jerry tells them to shut up, because the show is starting.

As the theme song plays, Jerry says: "Oh that Michael, I hate him, he's just so smug."

I think I need to see a few more episodes to get into it. This usually happens with me and new shows.

was I the only one lost and confused through the entire episode? I did have a glass of wine in me, so maybe that's why. I'll have to watch it again.

I was too and although I did have a glass of wine as well I do not think that was the reason (well that is my story).

I was extremely confused...It just really didn't flow from one scene to another, one storyline to another for me...

and I never really watched Melrose while growing up..I was more into Beverly Hills...but is this a complete remake, or is this like 10 years later that sort of thing???

I guess the pilot episodes are always like that - trying to fit as many characters and story lines into one hour as they possible can. I am really happy Michael is back!!!

I don't love or hate the show just not loving the storyline. I did like Jonah the best but probably because he was on Greek before, hehe. Hopefully the show will improve or else I can see it being cancelled. I would have like to see a more mature cast than this one...

This was so underwhelming. They did a pretty horrible job at setting up relationships, just as bad at character introductions. The characters they do have are for the most part douchey cliches, that or they don't have any respectable distinguishing characteristics. The flow was murky at best.. with the flashbacks, to the suggestions of mysterious elements.. yikes. Ashlee Simpson should stick to singing. She made the rest of the cast look like a roll call of Emmy nominees....

I won't be tuning in again, unless a few weeks down the line I start hearing that this show has really picked up.
