my sister loves watching the scenes with Hwang Bo/Hyun Joong-- she thinks that those two together is the funniest pairing ever. i don't mind them so much, but it is clearly evident that they're not going to develop into a real relationship or anything. i'm not sure how much of the show is real, or how much is acting, but it's refreshing to see different sides of these celebs. Hyun Joong is funny and he says some of the most random things sometimes... he also seems to have a lot of respect for his sunbae/elders. Hwang Bo has always had that tough-girl persona, so it's nice to see how girly/feminine she really is. the age difference there, is pretty obvious, and they both haven't really gotten past the awkward stage at all. i don't know what it is about Solbi, but i didn't like her much before this show... she is slowly growing on me, and i think she and Andy are really cute together. when i saw her on other shows, she just came off really clueless. but she seems like a fun girl-- i like how she tries really hard sometimes, like with cooking (even though she can't seem to do much in the kitchen). i can see a possibility of those two in a real life romance for sure. i loved the episode when her parents met Andy-- they are just so adorable. i love how they all call him "An-suh-bang" Crown J/Seo In Young-- they seem like a good match, and that they really care for each other, but In Young comes off way too demanding at times. sometimes i wonder if she's acting or if she's really just a drama queen. Alex/Shinae-- they seem to get along really well, and i really like the romance between the two. it seems that Shinae is more on the receiving end... it's hard to tell what she's really thinking sometimes. i'm sure they edit every couple to appear a certain way, but i'd like to see Shinae open up more... Alex is very obvious about his feelings, and he's always doing really nice things for her. i like this couple a lot, but my sister thinks they're boring. i don't really miss Hyung Don/Saori, though... those two fought all the time, but Saori really put in a good effort there. As for Hwi-Jae/Yeo Jeong, they were alright, but it seems like they weren't very popular among viewers. it would be interesting to see if either of them ever come back, phase others out, and/or bring in more couples. but so far, i'm enjoying every episode. :) |

I used to think that Solbi was clueless as well.... the way she would speak and say random things made me wonder her IQ level lol. But her and Andy are really cute together and it shocked me to see this side of Andy. The only time i would see Andy was in mv. or performing, but its great to see a different side of him~ he has potential! (He really is good at everything lol.. just like Solbi admits) With Inyoung and Crown J- they are perfect match, but it bugs me to see that Crown J is getting whipped around by her... even at times when he didn't do anything. I like Inyoung because she has spunk but she's so LAZY! But its cute how they both share passions for the materialistic things in life..... their BABIES (shoes.. shoes.. and more shoes lol.) Shinae and Alex are very reserved~ i wished that Shinae would just come out of the box and reveal herself more. Alex is literally PERFECT (maybe too perfect..i think Shinae feels burdened sometimes hahaha!) I'm waiting to see if they'll ever truly argue/fight/ or at least disagree on something! Hwang bo and Hyung Joong are very ODD. Hwangbo and her recent passion for techno and Hyung Joong's random comments crack me up. But i agree- i can't see them developing their relationship any further. They're more like friends now (which is good though.......because on the first day.. they seemed totally uninterested). Did you see the part where Hwangbo tried to add her own part to Hyung joong's rap lol ?(when they were in japan!) Okay.. with Hyun Don and Saori- i really can't say much because i really felt sorry for the girl, he is literally a couch potatoe- he's 24/7 stuck to the couch or worse: the bed. With Hwee Jye and Ye Jyeong- i wonder why they cut them off so soon~ maybe they'll come back

in we got married, hyunjoong and hwangbo are the most entertaining couple!!! I love how CRAFTY hwangbo is, she's so good at cooking, sewing, organizing, etc...really feminine despite her tomboy exterior! i was so surprised.
crown and seo in young crack me up, but honestly I'd never heard of Crown J before this show! he seems a bit cocky.. why did they cut off hwijae and yeojung so fast? they just suddenly disappeared! im waiting for episode 22! |

^ I think hwijae and yeojung weren't as entertaining as the others.
Also, it was a total turnoff when hwijae got upset at yeojung and left her at the market. He's so shallow~ if he's upset with her he should have just talked to her about it. It was very random how they suddeny went on their little "trip" after this as well. |

personally, i thought hwi jae/yeo jung were a cute couple-- after their last episode, they seemed to be on good terms again (after the supermarket incident, and the fact that Hwi Jae appeared upset and disappointed that Yeo Jung didn't agree that their meeting once again was like "in-yeon")... i already read somewhere, before i saw that episode, that they will no longer appear as a couple on the show anymore, but i didn't expect it to be that soon! overall, it seemed like they were the least popular amongst viewers, plus the fact that Alex/Shinae came back-- so maybe the PD felt like there wasn't enough airtime for all of them. it was strange how they suddenly didn't appear on the next episode, the PD could have allowed them to make a proper exit instead of leaving some viewers wondering what happened.
the only complaint i have (rather trivial, i know) is that is that they don't really need that many MCs on the show! what's the point of Park Myung Soo sitting there week after week? I understand he's been married several months now, but he doesn't add much to the show. i think 2 is enough-- and i really wish they'd bring back Kim Won Hee... she's hilarious! it should be interesting to see what they will do next... like what other "missions" they'll be assigned. they always manage to edit the episodes and air some of the funniest and heartwarming scenes, but sometimes i wonder what else they've cut out. oh-- by the way, what did you gals think about the ep. when Hwang Bo and Shinae staged their fight? From the previews, I thought it was REAL until I saw the actual episode... LOL |

Maybe it was the airtime~ hmm... who knows. As for the MC"s... i totally agree with you- there's like 5! And i wished that they would bring back won hee as well.... she's so spunky lol. Hwang bo and Shinae's fight was very well done lol~ it was so cute seeing Alex making sure that she was okay. I'm also happy to see that Shinae was opening up more so that Alex can get the sense that their relationship is developing. But when Shinae started to at all "cute" while they were trying to catch the fish~ it almost made me yack lol... i'm sorry but it just doesn't match her for some reason. However, my favorite part was when Hyung Joong was telling Hwang Bo that she didn't need to ignore the situation just because she was older..... and then he said that if an old halabujee did something wrong... then she shouldn't ignore that as well lol? |

(Source: The Korea Times 08-21-2008 20:12) Actor Dies in Motorbike Accident ![]() The late Lee Eon By Cathy Rose A. Garcia Staff Reporter Lee Eon, a model-turned-actor who starred in the popular MBC drama "Coffee Prince,'' died in a motorcycle accident at dawn Thursday, Yonhap News reported. Lee, whose real name is Park Sang-min, was on his way home after attending a party celebrating the end of his KBS drama "Choi Kang Chil-woo'' (Mighty Chil-woo). He was riding his motorcycle when he hit a railing of the elevated roadway in Hannam-dong, Yongsan at around 2 a.m. The 27-year old actor died on the spot and was taken to Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Hannam-dong, Seoul. The police have not yet determined if Lee was drunk when he got into the motorcycle accident. Lee gained fame last year for his role as a dim-witted but loveable Min-yeop in "Coffee Prince.'' When he was in elementary school, Lee started participating in ssireum or traditional Korean wrestling. He proved to be an excellent athlete and won gold medals at Korean national ssireum competitions in 1997 and 1998. However, as a freshman in university, Lee saw model Cha Seung-won on TV and decided to become a model. He worked hard to lose 30 kilos in order to gain the slim physique of a model. He made his debut in a fashion show in Busan in 1999. With his good looks, Lee soon became a sought-after model, appearing in numerous fashion shows, including the Seoul Fashion Artists Association Collection. He also branched out into acting in dramas, which led to his role in "Coffee Prince.'' cathy@koreatimes.co.kr ======================================== |
